Sharp has looked decent on his 2 returns. This new numbers and no names on the jerseys is really fucking me up.
official roster says Rainey. good for rainey. what's up with cook? doesn't look like he's making the most of his opportunity...
Calm down guys. It is your coach's first game and your team isn't exactly talented. It is obvious Bronco is a better coach than London, give it time.
Today. Force fed everything about change and culture and a new beginning. Came back to the same old shit I thought I wouldn't have to deal with. I'm trying to remember Bennett's first season but this is a truly awful way to perform in a game that is supposed to make a statement about the new regime.
Wow ok. Haven't seen any of the highlights but if it wa worse than W&M it's gotta be pretty bad. UR is a really good FCS team and Danny Rocco is a damn fine coach Are you frustrated that the cart was out before the horse a little bit? Hint of self righteousness toward the new approach?
Wouldn't say self righteousness but self assured for sure. There was definitely an air about that implied that if you nailed the small things, the wins would follow. It's clear there's more than that. Don't deny that UR is a good FCS team and Rocco is a good coach. But there are institutional limits designed to keep FCS teams subordinate to FBS teams. You shouldn't lose to them, ever. Worse to do so as the opening tee shot of a new regime.
After seeing some of the highlights on YouTube: Tom Obrien is the worst color commentator in sports The personnel on the field is waaaaay below ACC standards in certain spots. Shared blame between old/new staffs on that
I'm still optimistic. due to reason. luckily I was referring to ur as an elite fcs all week at work. laying the groundwork for my spin on Tuesday.
For the W&M game you were looking at a staff and roster that had been there. It was the culmination of total failure on grohs part. Inexcusable loss. Yesterday showed the garbage fire bronco inherited. But they got their asses handed to them in complete fashion. It absolutely crushes any sense of optimism from the new staff. To me it's a more disappointing result because of that. For W&M it was like welp we've hit rock bottom. Yesterday was welp even firing everybody can't get us out of rock bottom. Not that the first game should have to show much and Not that one game actually means much but damn if it doesn't feel like it. Also I think I'm still drunk
I'm not shitting on Jackson Matteo but he's one of the reasons we haven't been able to run the ball effectively. He gets absolutely no push.
played pretty damn well last year. Is Richmond still a 3-4 def? he's the kinda center who needs help when covered
Yes I believe they were. Of course one of their DEs got thrown out for targeting in the 2nd quarter and they still dominated.
cavman falling off the horse was just named #2 biggest entrance fail on a random espnu show. I didn't need to see that.
moving on... will we see any shuffling along the wr/rb depth chart? so if I read the box score right, we fumbled 3 times and lost it 3 times, ur fumbled 3 times and recovered it 3 times. oz had 5 catches 75 yds, a td. benkert went 26-34, 264 yds, 3 tds, and 1 int
Yes, dowling has been replaced due to injury Mizzell fumbled twice and CWR was the other. OZ was fuxking fantastic. He was suspended the first half, so they're just second half stats. People are fawning over benkart, but I don't really get it. I'm not saying he's good or bad. Reminded me of lambert(who everyone hated, but I liked). Never really opened it up, just kept with the short safe passes. I thought he was more of a dual threat, but never really ran when the opportunity was there.
