I don't get it. Same thing with Quin. I cant remember one play hes made in the 3 years hes been here. He gets a shit ton of tackles, but they're assists. He never wraps up and the guy just bounces right off of him. Or a white dude that runs a 4.8 blows by him for 55 yards.
As you may know by now, the Hokies had rings made for their 2nd round NIT exit. Courtesy of Nokehoo on the sabre: Spoiler
I was looking for this video to share it with a friend and this thread popped up on google. The vine is deleted btw.
We are still just a flat out fundamentally bad football team. The offense seems to be succeeding in limited quantities despite its limited talent, while the defense looks hapless despite adequate but not deep talent. I defended a horrible London for much to long in "wait and see" mode. Not his fault, but Bronco has to show me something before he earns my trust.
Man they're so talented on offense. the scheme isn't bad but they're so much faster than us. also lots of holds.
I, like Bronco, underestimated our rebuild. I'm extremely nervous because I don't know how we fix this. We're not talented enough to compete. We can't get more talented until we're no longer a joke of a program. We're Wake Forest at this point. Let that sink in.
very much RBBC - especially considering Mizzell. Reid should get more redzone touches than any other back, I'd guess. But there's another big back on the roster that will get plenty of play (hopefully)
what happened to him? he's been like a top 3-4 safety since he started playing, I wouldn't know what's changed.
that doesn't excuse him not being able to square up and tackle a ball carrier though. he wasn't great last year either.
Quin is simply just not that good. I fucking hate saying that, I knew Brown was over hyped but I really thought Blanding was legit. I hate football.
Quinn played pretty damn well last year.. I really wouldn't know how hard it is to play a sport with a pulled hamstring.. Luckily I never pulled anything playing sports.. Just broke bones..
Brown played like a god damn monster today. Hard to shit on a kid playing hurt Bronco can't manage a clock. I mean. WTFuckity Fuck
The more things change the more they stay the same. Feel for the players. Badly Quin is actually a hell of a football player but average as an athlete in the ACC. Wouldn't doubt that he's hurt and playing thru it. He was not nearly the same player last year when he wasn't being put in position by Ant Harris and the front seven of 2014 wasn't spilling everything right to him
I agree with all of this 100%. That's the problem with quin is he's got linebacker athleticism playing safety. He has great instincts which is why he's in on so many plays, but isn't athletic enough to really make any plays of his own. Everyone knew Harris was good, but looking back, no one really knew just how good he was.
Lmao Man I understand the frustration with yesterday (and the season thus far) but are y'all already feeling like you've been sold a bill of goods?
