McLaren seems a decent bet to defeat Mercedes in the constructors race. When is the last time a team finished ahead of its engine supplier?
I don’t think that Lando (or anyone really) comes from where he was down in P5 prior to the pit cycle to win without the safety car
Credit to Lando for putting in the work to make it home, not everyone on that grid could have hit the marks like that and cruised. Also important to recognize that he made (I believe) no passes on track today, which would have been mostly true of pretty much anyone in the top 4/5 regardless.
I know the story has been Red Bull running away with things, but this has been a fun season so far. Through 6 races we've had 3 different constructors win and the racing has been pretty good. The margin for Max is now close enough that he can't win if there is an badly timed safety car like today. Last year he just blows past Lando and wins by 15 seconds.
Max is way more likeable in the last couple of years now that he doesn't feel the need to be a douche all the time.

Im going to assume Lando lives in a bubble and just doesn’t have the awareness of what’s going on. Ideally trump will find himself in some kind of detention facility or worse by October. Can’t imagine he’s going to Europe or Canada between now and Austin.
