Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Pep just refuses to play Masch and Busquets at the same time. It's one or the other. I thought it would have been nice to have Masch in to just fuck shit up. And hold the lead or draw.

Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Who makes these? Pretty dope. We need a crazy Eboue and beautiful Bacary.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread tons of graphics nerds can do this. i wish i could http://s821.photobucket.com/albums/zz133/braddy_/ are about 50 in that album, look on the right for a subalbum with 400, most of which are soccer related. i posted most of the relevant arsenal ones.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Still can't believe that pass by Nasri. Most players wouldn't have the composure to pull that off.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Xavi took Wilshere's shirt after the match yesterday. Good for Xavi, I'm sure he'll cherish it.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread I'd expect a better player after the performance Jack had. Messi or Iniesta at least.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread so No Song, RVP, Theo for Arsenal No Pique, Puyol for Barca seems about right
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has made a shock comeback in time to face Barcelona after being photographed in full training on Monday. Van Persie had been ruled out of the trip to the Nou Camp after injuring his knee while scoring against Birmingham in the Carling Cup final last month. But pictures released on the club's official website show Van Persie participating in full training and he has now been included in Arsene Wenger's squad list for the trip to Barcelona.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Damn. Looks like I was right about Song. Diaby doesn't see the pitch.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread yea I'm with TNE on this one. would much rather see Diaby out there than Denilson. I wonder if we see any of Aaron Ramsey. I was really hoping he would get on against Sunderland on Saturday.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Denilson starts and I'm not watching. Will be much too painful.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Yeah...needs to be Diaby over Denilson. Hopefully Ramsey is able to provide cover for Song as the season progresses. Just have no idea what we can get out of him at this point. I'd rather play Rosicky as a DM than Denilson. He's that fucking bad.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread is RVP magically healing 2 weeks ahead of schedule the most shocking turn of events ever? I expected his 3 week absence to turn into 6 weeks, not 1 week. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WITH THE REAL RVP?!?!?!?!
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread good news: I get to watch the game at home on my tv. bad news: my car just broke down and will probably cost me a couple grand to fix. if arsenal can somehow make it through I'll call it a wash.
Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Took the afternoon off of work to watch the match. At 7pm tonight a bar two blocks from my house is having Trivia Night. The only topic for the questions will be the TV show, The Wire.

Re: Arsenal-Barcelona Official Thread Head-to-head record Played: 6 Wins: Barcelona 3, Arsenal 1, draws 2 Goals: Barcelona 14, Arsenal 9 Previous meetings CL: Group stage 29.09.99 Barcelona 1 Arsenal 1 19.10.99 Arsenal 2 Barcelona 4 CL: Final 17.05.06 Barcelona 2 Arsenal 1 (in Paris) CL: Quarter-Final 31.03.10 Arsenal 2 Barcelona 2 6.04.10 Barcelona 4 Arsenal 1 CL: Last 16 16.02.11 Arsenal 2 Barcelona 1 Disciplinary Suspended: Gerard Pique (Barcelona) Misses next match if booked: Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal); Andres Iniesta (Barcelona) Team news Barcelona will be severely depleted in the heart of their defence when they host Arsenal in their Champions League las 16 second leg tie. Club captain Carles Puyol is ruled out with a knee injury, while fellow centre-back Gerard Pique is suspended following the booking he received in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium. Gabi Milito played alongside Pique against Real Zaragoza at the weekend, and he is likely to be partnered by France international Eric Abidal with Brazilian Maxwell returning at left-back. Robin van Persie has been added to Arsenal's squad for the trip to the Nou Camp. Van Persie was substituted during Arsenal's Carling Cup final defeat against Birmingham after suffering a knee injury while scoring the equaliser at Wembley. The second leg was expected to come too soon for the Holland striker but he has since trained with his team-mates at London Colney and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has included him in a 19-man squad that will be cut to 18 ahead of the match. The Gunners, who lead 2-1 from the first leg at the Emirates, are confident captain Cesc Fabregas will be fit but AlexSong is ruled out by a knee injury. Former Barca youth player Fabregas has not played since injuring his hamstring in the victory over Stoke almost two weeks ago and missed the Carling Cup final. His recovery is going well, though, and he now looks likely to take his place at the Nou Camp. Holding midfielder Song, who started the first leg, has not been so lucky but, as expected, Jack Wilshere has recovered from slight ankle discomfort. Match facts Arsenal have scored 197 goals in Champions League history (excluding qualifiers). Arsenal have had under 40 per cent of possession in each of their last four Champions League encounters against Barcelona. It is the eighth successive year that Barcelona have reached the last 16 of the Champions League and they have only failed to advance to the quarter-finals twice - but on both occasions they were eliminated by English clubs - Chelsea in 2005 and Liverpool in 2007. Barcelona's Argentine forward Lionel Messi scored four goals against Arsenal in the home leg of last season's quarter-final, including a first half hat-trick in just over 20 minutes, but he has only found the net in two of the 14 Champions League games he has played against teams from England. The other was the 2009 final against Manchester United when he scored the late second goal in Barca's 2-0 victory. Messi is Barcelona’s all-time leading Champions League/European Cup top scorer (31 goals). Barcelona have won their last seven Champions League home games, scoring 20 goals and conceding only two. Arsenal, like Barcelona, have scored in all six matches between the two clubs so have good reason to expect to nab an away goal at the Camp Nou. Arsenal have lost five of their last six Champions League away matches and returned from Spain defeated after seven of their last 11 visits there. Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, who scored in the first leg, has found the net in six of his last nine Champions League appearances. The team that has scored first in the last four encounters between Barcelona and Arsenal has never won. Liverpool are the only English side to have managed to beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou in European competition. Arsenal have lost five of their last six Champions League away games. The Gunners have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 15 Champions League away games. Four Arsenal goals have come from substitutes, a Champions League record this season. All six of the encounters between Barcelona and Arsenal have seen both sides score. The last time Barcelona had under 50 per cent of possession in a Champions League match was on December 5th 2006, against Werder Bremen. Since the European Cup entered its Champions League format (1992/93), only 47 per cent of teams who managed a 2-1 home win in the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie qualified to the next round. Arsenal are the most prolific attack this season in the Champions League (20 goals). Barcelona have scored more goals from corners than any other side this season in the Champions League (five). Barcelona have hit the woodwork more times than any other side this season in the Champions League (seven).
