Now people who have read the leaked chapters, heard about stuff from the early shipments in Germany, unannounced POVs etc... can talk about them in here. Once the book comes out, I'll alert everyone to stay out of this thread until they have finished the book.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] just a fwiw for y'all. Early copies are being shipped all over the place. Might want to be wary of the internet until you read it. Snape kills dumbledore and all. http://grrm.livejournal.com/224067.html
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] Oh ok, so he would know that Jon's was legitimized but how would he know who John was?
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] Anyone know where I could find a digital copy?
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] What new information could he add to that Rheagar/Lyanna theory? Would he know anything that Barristan wouldn't? I guess they could just corroborate their stories if they meet up in Dany's posse?
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] Spoilers from chapters released last year below ... Spoiler 1. Thought it was awesome that Tyrion is for sure going to hook up with Dany at some point. 2. Melisandre dropping the 'then you know nothing, Jon Snow' when he was walking her around was great. That's really all I took away from it, didn't love the Reek chapter, but has potential.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] how could Jon have been legitimized before he was born? Rhaegar died before Jon was born. Spoiler I think this seals the deal that Aegon is alive though.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] What do you mean? Him divorcing dornish cunty and marrying Lyanna would be all that was needed right? John being protected by a bunch of King's guard at birth would be a strong indicator of that right bc they wouldn't be guarding one of Rheagar's bastards.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] I didnt consider that possibility, good point.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] All Spoilers should follow the normal rules right, you know, use the spoiler tag? I almost didn't even want to click on this thread since I heard about the Germany thing. I'm in complete blackout mode.
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] If none of have read the fifth book how are we spoiling?
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] If none of have read the fifth book how are we spoiling?
Re: A Dance With Dragons Official Thread - [For those who want to discuss spoilers] We still have Howland Reed as well
REALLY wanted Howland Reed to play a big role in this book, who knows maybe he still does but I doubt it.
A really good review from TIME magazine on Dance. Books 1-4 spoilers within: http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,2081774,00.html
Damn, that article is setting the bar high as hell. I love it. Can't wait to read this, gonna fail all my tests next week and probably the week after.
Another very positive review by NPR: http://www.npr.org/2011/07/07/137652436/r-r-martins-sardonic-epic-for-an-ambivalent-age
Hopefully I'll be reading by noon tomorrow, this will be the last time I open this thread until I'm finished. Happy reading boys
I keep seeing people post shit they make up as spoilers to troll people and it's enraging me. I don't believe them, but then again I'm like AHHH WHAT IF IT'S TRUE. I need to avoid the internet as a whole for a couple of weeks.
Fuck you. I'm not gonna be able to read the book for a couple weeks and you're all experiencing greatness and shit. Methinks that you, sir, are a braggart.
I would go beat the shit out of your neighbors and demand information if I was you. Cut off their hands.
Just read the second Jon chapter and I was getting really angry feeling like we already know this story from Sam's perspective, and all this has taken place already, and then... :ohholyfuck:
If you're not up to page 300 don't read: Spoiler Prince Aegon is alive does that mean Jon Snow is def. not a Targaryen?
Just finished The Lost Lord's POV God Damn as much as I hate you GRRM you are a fucking genius and you continue to deliver
Thread suggestion iyam Write the page you're on and then put the comment in spoiler text so people can converse as they go
