GRRM isn't that type of guy at all. If you read his blog he is pure 100% dbag. If this MF goes down he will be taking his ship down with him.

(back and forth drives for thanksgiving helped a lot) Had absolutely no desire to read anything else for a while at that point. Just kinda burned out because it's so much more than I normally read. I woke up this morning and immediately wanted to start reading book 3. I've never been this hooked on a series in my life.

That one is for television critics only, I'm afraid... but I'm looking to set up a couple of public events while I am in town. Watch this space. Re: Song of Fire and Ice ?? it's a good article, but I think it really overstates the role magic actually has in the series, unless they're changing that for some reason for the show. It's not like this is the Malazan series with mages walking around using overt magic all the time. The bigger thing the audience has to accept is just the setting, which is basically medieval times.
