as much as I'm ready for change, I still really worry about life after Wenger. who is going to make the decisions? Gazidis? what does he know? Kroenke doesn't give a shit. as many flaws as he has I'm afrain Wenger is the only thing keeping the wheels from completely coming off. again, it's not to say I don't want a change. just worried about what it will bring.
This is the only hope for next season: that the pitchfork crowd, coupled with the last year of his contract AND players leaving that have to be replaced - will force him to splash a little more cash than usual this summer. Hopefully on players that will actually help. I have a feeling he's not going to like the new, higher valuations on players due to the TV contract. I both respect & despise his principles.
Still if Wenger spends, the fans are gonna turn on him the first sign of trouble. The next manager could easily be worse but I'm really ready for something new.
