Played as much this tournament as he has in 3 years, he had no legs left. Hoping he can get in the mix after the break
JC not pulling any punches "I think he's been an absolute shambles," says John Cross on Arsene Wenger. Read why here: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...te-shambles-says-the-daily-mirrors-john-cross

Going to use absolute shambles to describe all of the teams I follow this year. Spoiler except for AU Basketball we dancing this year tell the people the good word Wu
I am done with Arsene. The fact that he still thinks Theo is good enough after all these years tells me he has completely lost it. Not sure why I thought we would actually get rid of some of the dead weight within this club. Gonna lose it when he inevitably signs an extension.
Losing John Cross is a giant red flag. He's basically been Arsene's biggest cheerleader and for him to say that stuff. Woof. Not that I disagree, because I don't, but wow.
Think my biggest problem with the dithering is just that Wenger isn't good enough to coach his way out of a weak lineup, you can predict how our performance is gonna be 80-90% of the time just based on the lineup. Most people would let him dither if we had say 4 points instead of 1.
I thought Arseblog was a very good read today & offers a possible explanation for our behavior this window.
if there is a site or paper doing a better job covering arsenal right now than arseblog & crew I would like to hear it. arsecast extra is a must listen for me every week.
Great read that made a lot of sense but my depression with Arsenal remains. It's clearly time to focus on the team we've got and hope for the best, yet again.
Nope, been my ritual for years. Kind of fucks me up now because I generally don't have to go in on Fridays and I always used to listen to it on my way into work. Just love that it's always accurate on the site and enjoy me some Stillman columns, although his last one was quite depressing. Also, this....
Oh yeah, been in on them for years, I was just saying I am a huge fan of both as it related to you asking if another site did a better job. I would listen 7 days a week if they offered it.
Another good read: http://theshortfuse.sbnation.com/20...ransfers-tactics-position-play-premier-league Spoiler We are tactically a disaster
http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2016/arsene-wenger-pursuing-antoine-griezmann-we-take-a-look/ Spoiler Arsène Wenger pursuing Antoine Griezmann? We take a look Squawka’s chief writer Greg Stobart released a report yesterday claiming that Arsenal have spent the summer pursuing Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid. GFFN received information to a similar effect this Monday lunchtime. Arsène Wenger is understood to have begun to actively pursue the idea midway through EURO 2016, after watching Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann compliment each other well going forward, notably against the Republic of Ireland. This was therefore after the announcement that Antoine Griezmann had signed a one year contract extension with Atleti until 2021. The player’s €100m release clause has however so far been an impossible obstacle for Arsenal to overcome. Arsène Wenger has always been very clear that he is willing to spend money on world-class talent, they just have to be available. €100m has however up to this point been too great a stretch, even though as Mr Stobart’s report insinuates, intermediaries working on behalf of Arsenal felt that the French international would be open and even interested in moving to the North London club. It appears that the Arsenal board are allegedly not willing to give Wenger the funds to activate the player’s release clause, despite the currently hostile atmosphere surrounding the Emirates. One thing that Arsenal cannot reproach Mr Wenger for therefore, is, he is at least trying to cause the “madness” that Arsenal fans have been craving for throughout the summer transfer window.
Story has been around for at least a month. Kind of reverts back to arse and what he says, our fans write the papers. That being said I think he's a bigger signing than Pogba. Would also take a fuckload of convincing as we are most definitely a step down from Atletico.
another insightful and depressing piece from arseblog http://arseblog.com/2016/08/stan-kroenke-problem-will-probably-get-worse/
Not sure how that factors in at all if Arsenal activate the release clause in his contract. At that point, they just have to convince Griezmann. Fat lot of good that does when they can't even convince themselves to agree to the move.
"Ok Dad. They've agreed to $4,999." "Tell them the offer is now $4,899. We are working very hard to get you back but we must be mindful that we have other very good children at home as well."
Estimate by @AST_arsenal was £96m for signings. After Xhaka/Holding/Asano/Kalechi & £40+m CB (Mustafi 1st choice), not much left for CF #AFC
Selling Theo & Debuchy would have put a few quid in the coffers. I mean if Bolasie & Benteke are going for £30 million then Theo is worth something. Could have sold Campbell too instead of loaning him.
