this confuses me a bit. we triggered a release clause and we're in talks with LC to sign him? if we triggered the clause, isn't that all the talks with LC that need to happen? wouldn't the rest of the negotiations be with Vardy's agent?
Vardy makes sense if we are bringing in Rodriguez to replace Gibbs... English, proven in EPL & 1/2 the price we'd spend on the Morata project. Really not a fan of his, but I'll get on board

Giroud is the one that doesn't fit. You can press or counter with Vardy, you can't do either with anchor dick. For the record, think Vardy is an absolute fucking cunt but I'd take him over any of the names thrown out.
Seems like a much better value with the other additions we have yet to address as well. Seems to be a lot of smoke with Rodriguez, which would shore up LB, but still think we need to add another CB as well, at a minimum (depth is still a major concern considering the injury records a lot of the first team players have).
