it's amazing how many people became 6withclass fanboys over a bitch assed qb like cutler. what the fuck were they even thinking.
I cant stand that dude. Not sure if its just cause hes a jackass that sucks 757 dicks; or if its those small ass weird hands. Either way fuck him.
Lmao apparently Hagans tweeted the following last week: "It's hard to listen to a person complain about where they should be when they don't do anything to change where they are"
Wisconsin sucks fuck Wisconsin Tony doesn't want nothin to do with Wisconsin we have bodos fuck Wisconsin
Great thread title. I mean, I'm not saying he's leaving. But I just don't understand the people that are saying "no chance" "absolutely not a possibility." Here's my favorite from MaizeBlueWahoo: "Tony's not going anywhere. I don't have insider info, but still. Tony's not going anywhere." Thanks bud.
Their confidence stems from an anonymous poster named builtbadgers who has repeatedly said Bennett might leave us for the right NBA situation, but not another college job.
I like the case Whitey lays out: http://www.dailyprogress.com/cavali...cle_fb4e26de-a407-11e5-b4d3-e3293d10f143.html Though obviously anybody else's opinion other than TB is just speculation
Spoiler I love New York. I was born in the city. Went to school in the city. Got engaged in the city — right in Central Park. My best childhood memories are of going to Knicks, Yankees and Giants games; eating hamburgers at J.G. Melon’s, hot dogs from the street vendors along Third Avenue; and going to my grandma’s. But as much as I love my hometown, I’d never want to move back there — at least not at this stage of my life. It is of my opinion that Virginia coach Tony Bennett will feel the same when he’s approached by Wisconsin about becoming its coach. Wisconsin, whose longtime coach, Bo Ryan, unexpectedly retired on Tuesday night — the Badgers named longtime assistant Greg Gard as the interim coach — will surely inquire about Bennett. Bennett grew up in Wisconsin, played his college basketball in the state and worked under his dad, Dick, the former Badgers coach. But from everything I can gather, Bennett is happy right where he is. Heck, when I chatted with Bennett earlier this week, he was wearing a T-shirt with a drawing of the state of Virginia on it that he had recently purchased on Barracks Road. Bennett’s wife, Laurel, seems ensconced in the community. In October, she spoke at the funeral of longtime UVa basketball supporter Frank Birckhead. And Bennett’s two children are of the age where uprooting seems like it would be tough. But more than any of that, what can Wisconsin offer Bennett that Virginia doesn’t? John Paul Jones Arena is still one of the nicest facilities in the country. The ACC is considered by most to be the best conference. Charlottesville is annually ranked among the best places to live. And, of yeah, Bennett has already answered the biggest question coaches think about when assessing the occupational landscape: “Can I win there?” Bennett has built the Virginia program from the ground up. It’s his baby. He’s taken it from the carnage that was the Dave Leitao era to heights that even the most ardent Cavalier fans didn’t believe imaginable. Following in the footsteps of a Hall of Fame coach? That’s not what I’d want to do. Last season, after Texas came calling, Virginia gave Bennett a new contract. It included an $180,000 raise with annual 5 percent bumps, locked him up through the 2020-21 season and increased the amount of his buyout should he ever to choose to leave to $3 million. But Bennett’s chief concerns during the renegotiation (as well as a previous one) were that he wouldn’t be one of the highest paid coaches in the ACC, and that his assistants would receive raises. So you wouldn’t expect it to make a difference if Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez throws huge dollars at Bennett. Clearly, Alvarez would need to appeal to Bennett’s nostalgia. Alvarez would need to get Bennett thinking about all the things he loves about his home state, such as his Green Bay Packers and his favorite ice cream place. But in the end, I believe Bennett — who has a top-10 recruiting class coming in next season — remains in Charlottesville. Truth be told, I think there’s a better chance of Bennett going to the NBA than taking another college job. Bennett has received at least two overtures within the past few years. But for now, let’s not burden Wahoo Nation with that anxiety. “Everybody always worries that somebody will steal him from UVa,” former Virginia coach Terry Holland told me recently, “but at the same time, you look at everything you have here, and I think he and his family seem to fit in, so we’ll all just keep our fingers crossed.”
is there any more overrated aspect to a coach's decision to stay/go than the "uprooting his children" angle these coaches never give a f
fun game. JPJ was bonkers Brogdon = best player, but didn't play so hot today (for his usual excellence, I mean) Gill = most important player London, despite some TOs (one which was Brog's fault), won them the game
That was a fun game to watch. London was the MVP. Thinking about making the trek from Richmond to catch the the Cal or ND game. Haven't been to a game at JPJ in a few years.
Just realized I'm gonna be on a plane for Cal. Was going to be happy with 2-1 through this 3 game stretch, but a chance to go 3-0 is pretty awesome. Cal should be the easiest of the three.
still some Cal tix available - considering it's a 9pm game, I bet a bunch of the old out of town folks will put there's up too
Maryland is actually kind of quietly putting together a good staff. Jury is out on Durkin but I've been impressed by the hires so far.
So I was supposed to be on a plane for the Cal game. On my way home because my flight was moved to tomorrow morning. Meaning now I can watch. Meaning, given my luck tonight, I am almost certain we will lose.
Yeah that was awesome. We are tough to put away. LP is really reaching the level we need him to be at. Also, goodnight sweet Tobey. He looks AWFUL.
he took issue with the ESPN headline of " Thanks to London Perrantes, Virginia barely escapes California"
http://www.nbc29.com/story/30845498/update-jogger-killed-in-albemarle-co-crash-is-local-running-man saw this on fb just now.
JP, you need to wife the reporter in the 2nd part of the news report http://www.nbc29.com/story/26537971/jenna-dagenhart
I've gotten drunk with Jenna before. She's nuts. She had a superbly hit friend with her but are both apparently quite religious.
Lol Beatty is already leaving Syracuse to be the WR coach at Maryland. Reminds me of when TOB and crew got fired and we raided the fired coaching staff. Not a recipe for success.
