at this site: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ I have no idea who I want to pick for my team. I don't watch as much EPL as I'd like to so I don't know a ton of the players other than on MC and Liverpool. Any ideas on who would be good values/sleepers?
My team right now: GK: De Gea (6.5), Ruddy (4.0) D: Hangeland (6.5), Hughes (5.0), Cahill (5.5), Ivanovic (7.0), Kompany (6.0) M: N'Zogbia (7.5), Tiote (4.5), Wilshere (6.5), Nani (10.0), Meireles (7.5) F: Ba (6.5), Odemwingie (7.5), Suarez (9.5) Ruddy is in there because I need 2 goalies but only one will play, so I got the cheapest available.
They also cost more. I think I may get more value from using a little less on a player from a good but not elite team like Fulham (Hangeland and Hughes both top 10 defenders last year). Also, with goalies, they get points for saves as well as clean sheets. So perhaps a player on a team with a shitty defense may be a good call because he'll get more saves (but give up more goals). At least he'd cost less.
Hangeland and Ba are great for those prices. Really like both of them. Pretty good team that should net you some points.
Nani was the top overall scorer from last season I believe (or at least tops for his position). *I could drop him and add Dempsey for 8.5, then upgrade either GK to Hart (7.0), or the F position. Are any of the MC strikers worth their prices? Tevez at 12.0 seems bad because I don't know if he'll even stay with the team. Balotelli at 9.0 seems high risk/high reward. I don't know much about Aguero and he's at 11.0, one of the 5 most expensive players in the league.
Do not touch any of the City strikers. You want strikers that are going to be in the starting 11 as much as possible.
Question, anyone know a site that does player ratings for every game? because I think it'd be fun to do a league that uses the players ratings and not points.....
Yeah I am thinking one will emerge and be elite level, but I don't think I want to take the risk on guessing wrong. Any suggestions on whether any of the following seem like good values? Shay Given (GK) for 5.0. Joe Hart is at 7.0 and de Gea is 6.5. Danny Simpson (4.0), Robert Huth (6.0), Clichy (6.0) at Defender. Joey Barton (6.0) or Shane Ferguson (4.0) at Midfielder Kevin Davies (6.5), Hugo Rodallega (6.5) at Forward. Or I could do a little re-arranging and go for an expensive star at forward like Van Persie (12.0), Rooney (12.0), Torres (11.0), Drogba (10.5), Bent (10.0), Carroll (10.0), Hernandez (10.0) or Berbatov (9.5), but it seems like Ba, Odemwingie and Suarez are good values.
Running the ever dangerous 3-4-3 Hart(c) Baines, Huth, Cashley Brunt, Modric, YaYa, N'Zogbia Rodallega, Bent(vc), Suarez Disappointed that I could not added Denis Suarez to my bench.
So far, I see no one with a Wolves player on their roster and I honestly don't blame you guys. Felt weird enough picking Odemwingie for my team, and I almost grabbed Chris Brunt too.
Me too. He might be good for 5 but I still don't know what to make of him. I opted for Cahill. And correction, I see Jarvis on Moore's roster.
G: Given D: Vidic, Kolorav, Kompany, Hangeland M: AYoung, NZog, Cabaye, Silva F: Ba, Bent Bench: Cerny, Simpson, Dyer(Swansea), Hoilett
