is there a way in Apple Music to just list the artists I favorite/follow so I can then drill down and pick what I want to listen to from them? Google Music just lets me have my big list of artists I can scroll through, choose who I want to listen to, then stream. Spotify has something similar but not as convenient. I can't seem to find that at all with Apple. I can follow artists, but I don't give a shit about what they post to some social messaging thing.
Strange problem with my iPod Nano- I found 3 of them laying around the house, not old Nanos- but just haven't been used lately. When I plug them into my work computer to sync after a minute or so the screen turns blue, and the computer restarts. It has done this to 2 out of the 3. I'm just going to assume it's a computer problem, and not an ipod problem at this point- any ideas? Google led me to tech forums where I don't understand the words they use. I'm not a smart man.
I use my apple ID for email with icloud and almost only ever check it on my iphone Whenever I check it on a web browser it sends me an email saying that someone just accessed my email via web browser. I always ignored it but tonight I checked my email 3x in an hour on my web browser and it locked my entire account to the point of not even being able to access my email on my phone so I had to reset my password. any idea how to fix this?
The email is a security function by the server, not your account so that can't be changed. It should not lock your account though.
My less than a year old apple desktop is recently acting like a POS PC. Internet really slow, hard to watch Videos. I thought apples were immune to this. Surely something can be done to speed things up outside of new modems, etc.
1) On Mac Pro, iMac, Mac mini, and Xserve To reset the SMC on Intel-based Mac Pro, iMac, and Mac mini computers, as well as Xserve: Shut down the computer. Unplug the power cord. I do it probably once every 3 months or so. If it's something you're having to do every day or so, there is something else going on.
I jail broke my 5 a few months before I got my 6. I liked all the tweaks you could do to make the phone more suitable for your own needs. I switched back because I was having problems with my phone crashing though. Whether you want to jailbreak depends on your confidence to troubleshoot and sometimes read through code to fix problems and get tweaks just how you want them.
Question for anyone who knows about iCloud. My daughter is using up 16GB of the 20 we have just with her phone. I want her to be able to back up contacts and music but all that other shit has to go. Anyone know how to do this?
Music doesn't get saved and contacts are synced via iCloud, not backed up. Plus Contacts are super small. It's most likely an iOS backup or iCloud Photo Library so going to settings>icloud>storage>manage storage is going to show you what all is in the account.
My phone took a drink on Thursday. I've never seen a phone fail so spectacularly. Fortunately apple support has continued to live up to its great reputation and after about 10 minutes talking with the tech support in the store the girl just offers to give me a replacement without even questioning what happened. There are times where I question why I keep buying Apple phones and this is what keeps me coming back.
Its really hit or miss, sometimes that fight you tooth and nail and sometimes they are all fuck it new phone
iTunes will not sync an android phone nor will it recognize it. Pretty sure that Keys program does though, but I've never used it.
Fuck that noise. That's your experience, a ten minute wait? No turning you away at the door? No--"I'm sorry Sir but we only take appointments by reservation at this store"--?
I was told when I arrived that the walk in wait time was two hours. I said I can't not have a phone so I would wait. This was after being told that the next appointment was in four days. I did have to wait about an hour to get to even talk to someone past the greeter. It took about ten minutes from the time I started talking with the tech until she offered to replace my phone for free. It took another 45 minutes to transfer everything over to the new phone. I spent at least two hours in that store.
Trying a service called iCracked, apparently a motherfuckin technician is going to come to my house and fix my phone screen while I eat cereal in my underwear playing video games. Or at least I could do those thing, I dunno, I might put on pants.
Yesterday I was 5 minutes from going and impulse upgrading to the 6+. Then I figured I should get online and I saw they'll release new iPhones next month. Cool story.
Yea buying an iPhone now wouldn't make much sense. They're about to upgrade both of them with 12mp cameras with 4k video, flash on the front camera, forcetouch technology on the screens, as well as upgraded internals.
Just always rely on an annual upgrade in September/October. I wish Sprint didn't suck balls because that new "upgrade your iPhone whenever you fucking feel like it" plan seems kinda awesome.
I've just ordered the screen from them a couple of times and fixed it myself. Really not that hard, just follow the instructions.
I still have unlimited data so I do this thing where I upgrade the worst phone out of my mom, dad, and sister, then we all kinda trade so I get the new one, my sister gets my old one, my dad gets my sisters, and my mom gets my dads, which is the worst, because she doesn't know an iPhone from a moto razr. It allows me to keep unlimited data because I'm not technically upgrading and since they are the furthest thing from tech savvy they don't care at all. Win win.
Basically you're an asshole who makes his family takes hand-me-down phones because he needs the best.
Yes. But in my defense none of my family knows any better. And I always do an insurance claim prior to them upgrading. So if my sister wants to complain about a free brand new iPhone 6 she's more than welcome to.
Currently have a 5 and my upgrade came up two days ago. Not sure if I should get the 6S or just wait for the 7 to come out next year.
get the 6S. New phone sooner, and it seems like whenever apple does have issues its when they come out with a new design (antenna issues on the 4, bending on the 6).
That makes sense. Sept 9th is next Apple event. Then about 10 days or so later it's usually available.
usually it's two weeks after pre-order and pre-order is friday after announcement so that would be the 25th
