Ah I did not know about the ratings. I used it several times each night I was there and had no problems. Fare is good I heard also.
does j mueller still have his spot on the east side or did he drop off the face of the earth again? his and la bbq were always my favorite.
Still there as far as I know and definitely in the same tier as Mickle/LA I'd say just below them is: Terry Black Browns Stiles Switch
Have had Mickle and it was pretty fucking good. Parents are coming in town on Wed and taking them to Terry Blacks
Anyone ever been to the water park in Waco? And if so, any tips for taking a big group of ~12? Have heard it is BYOB and that if we were to take a few harmless joints there nobody would care.
Spot on. But then that video that looked like a frat rush video and it went all over Facebook about this water park they built that has like the two giant slides and shit. And there's a big wake board cable park next to it. Idk our buddy and his wife are moving to Nola in 3 weeks and wanted to go there before they leave
I have done the whole greenbelt trail a couple times and its awesome. Usually we go park a car at the top of the Hill of Life (where the trail ends) and then drive down to Barton Springs Pool (where it begins) and hike all the way through the trail to the top of the hill (the last quarter mile to the top of the hill kicks your ass) and then we have a car waiting there for us. Great hike. About 9 miles
I'd check out Hamilton Pool as well. Cool little place. And no you don't need to get torchy's truck. Any of their locations will do.
shit if i were coming here I'd say fuck the greenbelt and go somewhere like Wu suggested TheFreak55 also: pedernales falls. can do a combination of Inks Lake Park + Longhorn Caverns they are both supposed to be awesome and pretty close to one another where you could do both in an afternoon.
Any good recs for outdoor sightseeing for someone who isn't a hiker Don't mind some walking but 9 miles seems a bit much
Heading to the Ramen place in the domain tonight. I've been to Michi and thought it was good but haven't been to Tatsu-Ya yet.
Yeah it's on my must-go. A couple times I've been to that sports bar nearby there's always been a line outside.
Yeah we go to the one up north on 183. Not nearly as cool of a location obviously but the food is still great and we can get a seat pretty easily

Went to Black's on Guadalupe. Was dece but nowhere near the best bbq I've ever had. Side game was kinda weak and the BBQ sauce selection was mediocre at best. Actually enjoyed my Whole Foods Bowie BBQ experience way more. Make fun of it all you want but that shit is for real. The pulled pork was great and the sides were on point. Chipotle cheddar grits and the mac and cheese were out of this world.

It's a freakin' porch party at our new home in the ATX and you're invited.
Bar Chi has a good sushi happy hour. WVU people may mistake that for bait though. Max's Wine Dive is a good option...or any food truck really.
Trying to plan a trip in midish February, when my teacher GF has a Friday-Monday off. Austin is on a start list we're looking at, is there anything really going on in February? We're both very big into music, FWIW.
