its very clear this dude is blackmailing his best friend and fucking over Spence in the process. He really annoys the living fuck out of me.
I thought this the entire time, but am confused by the "girl" with the pictures demanding a sit down with Spence? Wouldn't this give Spence the proof he needed to fuck Reggie over with Vernon (assuming it is Reggie with the pictures). I thought that Reggie might just be arrogant as shit, but the show has continually shown him as smarter than people think...
this "girl" blackmailed Spence and that is why he is refusing to sit down with her. Not sure entirely if Reggie knew this or not but Spence is giving up a ton of info around people he shouldn't and giving Reggie so much leverage. Spence really comes off like a dipshit right now especially when he's talking inside info around Reggie someone he's at odds with.
I was trying to make the point that if the "girl with the pictures" ended up actually being Reggie, why would that "girl" (aka reggie) want to sit down with Spence to get the money? That is, unless Reggie is actually paying that girl to act like she took the pictures Sorry if you were addressing this and I am just confused
I think most people were saying Reggie was working with her, not that it was Reggie pretending to be her
I think Spence knows something which hasn't been fully revealed. He mentioned he knows the girl, and there is some motive behind him offering to pay them directly.
Gotcha, must have missed this. I was under the assumption that Reggie went to the lawyer and just told the lawyer to tell Spence it was the chick rather than Reggie. This make much more sense now
Starting to think we are giving the writers way too much credit by anticipating the upcoming swerve of Reggie being the mastermind of the photo issue. Also, it makes no sense that spence is paying the 150k when he was pretty much tapped out by the 300k loan he already loaned the guy.
I mean it seemed like they made it extremely obvious during the party episode that Reggie was taking pictures. I think that we'd be giving them too much credit if we assumed that was a red herring.
Spence is about to get 3% of the 90 million dollar contract or whatever it was. Definitely makes sense for him to take care of his client it happens all the time.
The fact Spence refuses to sit down with her tells me either a.) Spence has no idea Reggie is involved, and/or 2. This chick really fucked Spence over in the past. If Spence knows Reggie is the ultimate mastermind, then why wouldn't he want to sit down with her? I mean, I realize he's no genius, but I'd personally jump at the opportunity if I knew it could possibly lead to me ousting the guy who is the biggest detriment to my client's life. This girl is a cleat chaser. She's no Rhodes Scholar either. Even casually dropping the name "Reggie" into the conversation would almost certainly make her flinch. Reggie could still be behind it teamed with a girl who has a big vendetta against Spence, but I don't think Spence is playing the long con yet. He genuinely hasn't connected the dots to this point, IMO. Yes, I just put way too much thought into a show that is essentially Entourage with steroids being the drug of choice instead of blow.
I think that it was a few episodes back when Spence walked out of the lawyer's office then said "I know this girl" as end of episode cliffhanger, yet they haven't touched it since. Unless its poor writing (possible), they have yet to address his relationship with that woman for a reason. I assume its all for some big reveal scene... as for steroids, before big games those players shoot rabies. It gives them the edge the need and its undetectable. Only idiot losers do steroids anymore!
It makes no sense that 3 episodes ago, Spence said he was done with Vernon and the next episode, they're having a sit down with no explanation of why Spence came back
Bulworth they did have some talk but only for a second about how he was done with him and Vernon said he needed him and would listen or something like that. It was discussed.
Like I said... I will say one thing, for as horrible as the writing on the show is, the guy who plays Reggie is great. Even when he's not talking, I want to punch him in the face.
Was the end scene supposed to get me all emotional? Rod was some doosh athlete who's side piece got him killed in a car accident ... but man, he loved the game and now he's home, rejoice?
we saw more of his ashes being scattered in Spence's car and on some HS field turf than of the actual guy. plus, they dumped it on field turf, its not grass, or a field, or the beach/ocean. where are his ashes supposed to go? some janitor is going to vacuum that up and throw them into a dumpster. way to go Rock.
Wouldn't the wind scatter the ashes? He (Spence) obviously has a connection to Vernon. That's been more than established. The sit down was the explanation. Him willing to meet with Vernon was the big deal. It was just an argument between friends they made up. Not sure what doesn't make sense. Friends fight all the time.
Good thing we are breaking down the ashes of the character that died in the first 5 minutes of the show.
Just goes to show how terrible the writers are. They built the arc of the ep around a character we barely knew, and the agents mom dating a younger guy. Neither of which were funny nor moved along the payoff arc, which still has yet to resolve itself. The show is becoming less and less about the NFL, the biz, and tits with each ep, which are the primary reasons why people claim to enjoy it ...
too soon! the guy was put to rest just a few days ago. RIP stereotypical football player, we hardly knew ye.
The jewelry store girl went to UCF. Went to her sister's wedding. Claimed to be a virgin til marriage.
Charles is the worst, show has gotten much better but he needs to be killed off. For a show with real NFLers all over the place and actors like the Rock and Vernon who look the part, Charles is a joke.
Watching The Rock belt out Taylor Swift will never get old to me after his performance on Lip Sync Battle.
I love how he pours his heart out to the blackmail girl and then she STILL FUCKING BLACKMAILS HIM and he orders a drink like they just finished reliving their high school days. Spence is such a pussy.
The girl bitching about being "passed around" at parties is ridiculous. Of course you were passed around, you're obviously a whore.
that whole fucking scene with him pushing the trucks around the car lot, and then celebrating like some fat ass downy Rocky, was absolutely horrible. i pray to god that fucker gets sickle cell.
i think charles is going to come back and suffer some big career (or life? ) ending injury in the season finale still loving this show despite how stupid it is. making pushing a car in neutral out to be some super-human feat was so absurd.
I'll watch every episode because football/money/boobs are cool, but I have to imagine the critic types hate this show. From a plot/writing/character development perspective, its pretty terrible.
