in about a year you can buy my WSM 22. In about a year you can buy my WSM 22.5 for that- Once I get the Egg
I have an electric one that you can "borrow" to see if you'll use it regularly. If you do, then you can give it back and buy a good one of your own.
ha ha very funny- I think I made some of the others mad when we hired Schotty- I was a little salty about it.
Eh, I welcome the different opinions. I don't really know how to get you over there. But it's basically where you can get all the UGA recruiting/team shit for free.
I had that for a few years. It's ok. And by ok, it makes good food but is finicky as hell and requires a ton of charcoal because it has no insulation. It's not bad to learn on but I wouldn't call it decent. It's passable for a while.
I loved them as a kid. Had some last time I was Florida. Just as good as I remember! But, seriously....
I wouldn't suggest one long term but its something you can cook on to see if you enjoy it. That's what I used it for.
Gotcha. Yea, I used to smoke everything when I still lived in Athens, but it's been 10 years since I've used a smoker. I really need to just get back at it and figure it all out again.
gotta start somewhere lots of people start with something like that little cheap thing just to see if they are gunna like it some of them move on to bigger better units, some stick with that one and only use it a couple times a year
Thanks for asking all. I am back up and running, but Smoker in storage till we can get settled. Tyler Durden did not build my table... But he knows the guy. This one is from processing world, not default.
I'm not sure. Was not on our team till after you left. Was over in processing before us I think. You burn some coal and smoke some meat, and I will try to bring him by before I'm fully moved. He's good people.
I heard Bear was an English Bulldog- I am sure he will like me. Before I was working with Fafa Fofo I was in Processing and before that in Mod Ops Closing- I am back in Mod Ops Closing now.
really need bigger pieces of wood, just blowing through wood cause the chunks from home depot are small and burn really really fast probably wasting a good bit of raw materials keeping the fire going, contemplating putting something on the charcoal rack as it lets decent size embers/coals fall through because it's pretty wide
What kind of chunks does everyone use? I am lazy and cheap so I use the Wal Mart ones. Any reason I shouldn't be?
might need to try these have like 4-5 decent chunks in these bags then the rest is all tiny and borderline useless
Local place here that makes smokers sells wood by the pound. Like whole logs of wood. I was thinking about buying a bunch there and then chopping it down myself. Would give me a good excuse to buy a chain saw.
Mack Daddy Smokers in Middleburg. A buddy (fafa knows him well. he used to work at chase too) and I used to cook some competitions out there.
I know his stuff- it looks good. I have settled on an Egg for all of my cooking, hopefully in the next year I will get one.
Get Fafa fofo to introduce you to Zack Zedalis. Fondle his balls a few times, buy him a few beers, and maybe he'll hook you up with an Egg at cost.
