in about a year you can buy my WSM 22.

In about a year you can buy my WSM 22.5 for that- Once I get the Egg

 

I have an electric one that you can "borrow" to see if you'll use it regularly. If you do, then you can give it back and buy a good one of your own.

 

I believe you can get the El Cheepo Brinkman for under $100, and its a heck of a little smoker

 

ha ha very funny- I think I made some of the others mad when we hired Schotty- I was a little salty about it.

 

Did you build fafa's table?

 

I had that for a few years. It's ok. And by ok, it makes good food but is finicky as hell and requires a ton of charcoal because it has no insulation. It's not bad to learn on but I wouldn't call it decent. It's passable for a while.

 

I loved them as a kid. Had some last time I was Florida. Just as good as I remember! But, seriously....

 

I wouldn't suggest one long term but its something you can cook on to see if you enjoy it. That's what I used it for.

 

Wold love to see it but have no idea how to get there myself

 

I've never had them but I mean I will if you are serious.

lots of people start with something like that little cheap thing just to see if they are gunna like it
some of them move on to bigger better units, some stick with that one and only use it a couple times a year

Local place here that makes smokers sells wood by the pound. Like whole logs of wood. I was thinking about buying a bunch there and then chopping it down myself. Would give me a good excuse to buy a chain saw.

Mack Daddy Smokers in Middleburg. A buddy (fafa knows him well. he used to work at chase too) and I used to cook some competitions out there.

 

I know his stuff- it looks good. I have settled on an Egg for all of my cooking, hopefully in the next year I will get one.

 

Get Fafa fofo to introduce you to Zack Zedalis. Fondle his balls a few times, buy him a few beers, and maybe he'll hook you up with an Egg at cost.

I would if i was a stick burner but I only have a charcoal smoker- would be a lot of wood

 

A cord of wood would last me about 15 years I think.
