It almost makes it worse now that the FA is basically admitting that Mike Dean totally fucked it up. And that Costa is not some genius of twattery, but that he just got lucky Mike Dean is incompetent.
Only thing that pisses me off about the appeal being upheld is the articles referencing that precedent for this was set when matic's ban was reduced to 2 games. First off, it was two and not rescinded. Secondly, to compare costa pushing/slapping to a horrific leg breaking late tackle is a joke In the end, as I said earlier, Chelsea and specifically mourinho teams do better when it is us against the world and this helps create that narrative. Comparing costa to what Barnes did to matic though is a crock of shit
From a few days ago but I had not seen it. Fantastic @tomwfootball: Mourinho asked about Costa on Koscielny. Tells reporter: "I can guess that when you were a kid, you were playing badminton."
FA: Diego Costa has been suspended for three matches after violent conduct charge found proven http://t.co/DEYRqwIC9D http://t.co/TgDDP3A32f
bad news in spades... no more hot doctor. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...attle-doctor-rowed-manager-Jose-Mourinho.html
With the costa news and the carneiro situation reigniting I think it is best for mourinho to skip press conferences for a week or 2.
fucking arsenal bitch and moan nonstop until the FA rules, then use that as more reasons to bitch and moan
Can't say I'm unbiased because I don't like Chelsea but would you be cool with the FA basically admitting the ref fucked up and you shouldn't have played a man down for an entire half in a loss? I think the City thread would be pretty heated if that happened to us
Yeah, him getting a ban doesn't do much to help Arsenal now, only helps the 3 teams on their schedule during Costa's ban. I guess you could argue that if it leads to Chelsea dropping points it will help Arsenal and every other team in the league but you could also argue that on current form losing Costa isn't going to hurt Chelsea anyway. He has been playing like dog shit, might do better with another guy up top.
It's not like Suarez bit a Chelsea player or anything a few years ago and proceeded to miss zero time against Chelsea........
I'm not really sure how it's the same. You're bringing up something that was 11 on 11 and should have been 11 on 10. The FA is basically saying instead of it being Chelsea with 11 on 10 it should've been Arsenal with 11 on 10 Even without that, I'm not going to go back and check but I bet you guys bitched about it plenty
Chelsea are littered with petulant scumbags so I'm just glad the FA is doing something about it. Cahill's blatantly kicking and stamping on our boy 'Arry immediately comes to mind. With the way that top lad put them to the sword that day I guess it was bound to get old Gary wound up but still.
I honestly have way more of a problem with Costa feigning injury and waving imaginary cards 20 times a match after someone reacts to his bullshit antics rather than the bullshit antics themselves.
just starting shit. My thoughts are this: I like his attitude, and I love the way he plays. I'm a competitive son of a bitch so I respect that aspect of his game and love his fire so I don't have a problem with his aggression, the only aspect of his game I dislike is what Ace stated above - I wish he would just man up and not whine, while I think it's part of his overall shtick, he would gain a lot more respect if he just sacked up and received as well as he gives out.
Then we can go back to the Barnes tackle on Matic. Not even a foul called but Matic got a straight red, and had to sit two matches. (So nice of you FA to take a game off )
Just fucking accept that you guys got really lucky with this and Arsenal got fucked over and they have every right to complain and stop acting like they are making a big deal over nothing. That's really what it boils down to.
I think these type of things even out over long haul. I remember city scoring some off side goals last season and getting some questionable fouls/no fouls on headed goals this season. Kinda tired of this, it's done. Costa was suspended.
And we own that we got lucky the last 2 years with offside decisions either called wrongly on the opponent or for us The headed goals part I can only think of 1 off the top of my head and it was in a loss to Juve so resulted in being meaningless unless I'm forgetting one in the league
First game of season on that Monday the disallowed goal and Kompany kinda went through defender. It's subjective is my point.
We get the worst offsides calls against us. Jan received the ball from like 10 yards inside our own half and got called on some bullshit rule. He was crushed when his goal got incorrectly called off.
Yeah every team gets calls their way and it'll be that way. At some point in the season you guys will probably be pissed because something that wrongly went against you. Just don't understand the "Arsenal won't shut up, Costa got suspended" line of thinking from the Chelsea fans. It was this past weekend. Of course they're pissed.
Apparently Walsall have been torching ivanovic down the right side. My Twitter feed is blowing up about it Makes you wonder why Arsenal with Alexis Sanchez down that flank didn't repeatedly feed him the ball to dribble at ivanovic Seems like a said end to his Chelsea career but I think baba needs to start versus Newcastle if it is even half as bad as it sounds
They kind of were and Ivanovic held his own and I am pretty sure he picked up a card in the process. It was a really strange half, would have been nice to see the entire game played out evenly. I am not piling on either, the intensity level just drops off drastically for me when another side is a man down. In fact, admittedly, there's only one exciting man down game I can pull off the top of my head. When you guys beat Barca, that was fuckin awesome.
WAS overrated Now most people think he is the worst fullback in the EPL (and on current form he has been) but mourinho doesn't seem to fully trust baba Rahman yet. I do agree that ivanovic was overrated last season. He scored some important goals that tended to overshadow his defensive issues
Chelsea FC @ChelseaFC Chelsea team today: Begovic; Ivanovic (c), Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Pedro, Oscar, Hazard; Remy. #CFC
