He last did under Benitez in 2013, I know people have speculated about that for awhile now since he gets killed at RB. All depends on whether Hiddink trusts Baba at LB, obviously Dave would go to his natural position at RB.

He could but he is just not a good defender. He is good in the air so from set pieces and winning contested headers he could be good but he lacks pace. unlike JT who overcomes that with positioning and tackling ability he is poor at both of those.

Probably a better backup option than miazga at this point but if he is playing games at CB that is not good for us. Not like anything matters anymore until next season kicks off anyway. No way this team advances in champions league and I doubt they make an FA cup run

Terry will not travel with the team to Paris so he is out. Apparently miazga and jake Clarke-salter both traveled with the team. I am assuming Ivanovic starts at CB with azpi/Rahman at FB. Any injury to the back 4 though and shit gets really interesting in a bad way

CB is a big problem right now but it sounds like PSG have injury & suspension worries too. Saying 1-1.

Also, Eden can fuck off over his PSG comments. Cant play as poorly as he has and continue to pop off about "dream moves."

I think everyone here would take 50+ for him but with his diminshed play and whining, not sure they could get close to that.

Thank god he just signed a new contract.

50+? We rejected £70m for oscar apparently in January. No one that we can buy for 50-70 is close to hazard He's been shit this year but he didn't forget how to play. Even playing like shit he's still created a ton of chances and been unlucky that some weren't finished (remy a few weeks ago had one). I think £80m would be contemplated but I don't think someone will bid that so I think he stays one more year.

If we can somehow get a Chinese team to pay £70-75m for oscar though I think we need to take that. Roll that money into a mega big for pogba who is clearly what this team needs.

I have a weird feeling we show alright today and even win, just because it makes no sense.

"Weird feelings" are generally wrong though, at least when they go against common sense.

With how well we played Saturday (even if it was just shitty Newcastle) I am not surprised that mikel for the suspended matic is the only change

A lot of people were expecting oscar but I think you have to give Pedro/hazard/Willian another shot after having a good game

Personally I think this team is at its best when Willian is playing as the #10. Oscar crushes shit teams but seemed to get overpowered and lose influence against great midfield players

I think conte is our next manager. No inside info I just think he brings what Roman ideally wants. He settled on style for Mourinho. I don't see him doing that again unless we have a long trophy drought

Not watching b/c I am at work but by all accounts we were growing into the game before that. Tough to win against an elite midfield like PSG with a weak player like cesc unless he is surrounded by warriors. Throw in hazard and the other 3 midfielders need to be special defensively with at least one box to box midfielder. Just don't have a strong enough midfield. Would have been a good game for Ramires in a 4-3-3. These always seemed to be Ramires type games but we couldn't turn down that Chinese bid with a massive rebuild coming in the summer

before the PSG goal I was thinking how Chelsea looked pretty good in the first half....had some chances. Held on the first 10 or so minutes but were better after that. Seemed pretty balanced.

will be a sad day when he is finally sold. Not flashy. Not a superstar but just a steady presence. Calming at times.
