Ok? Transfermarkt has him at around 54m pounds. When he sells for more than Ronaldo I'll come here and eat crow. I think his value has definitely dropped even more in the past few months. Nobody on Earth is paying 130M for that petulant cunt. 26 league appearances, 0 goals. That sure screams record breaking transfer.

I agree. I posted the article for context. I doubt he will get over 80 million pounds and that's what his fair value probably should be. I think 100 million pounds or whatever the conversion would be too high.

I was just curious about your predicted number since you came into the thread and said he isn't worth a bidding war. Oh and I wasn't curious in a coachman way where I'd make a mental note of dumb takes and subtly troll in the EPL thread.

Di Maria was sold for about 60 million pounds and he was awful at United so that's the starting place for any negotiation.

Going to be tough to buy elite players w/o CL and selling low on Hazard seems dumb and I think keeping Costa becomes the top priority in the summer.

Remy, Matic, Baba, Oscar, and Falcao all out. Give Pato a run at the end of the season but hes likely suplus to requirements.

Scrap the #10 and go 4-3-3 with Hazard - Costa - Willy, Cesc - RLC - New guy, Dave - Cahill - Kurt/new guy - Branna (sigh)

    Needs in order:
    CM
    FB
    CB
    Winger

Buy young English players and develop them IMO, or start finally tapping into that well stocked academy you have.

Not watching but apparently Costa tried to bite Barry? I got a text about it. Should be his last match for Chelsea IMO

Wasn't as clear cut as Suarez's bites but it was weird as shit.

Playing with Cahill and Terry as center forwards for the last 10 minutes says all you need to know about the team as constructed. Only thing left to do now is play the kids or anyone they want in the shop window.

Also, fuck Jose for selling Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Mata.

Selling Mata and Lukaku I could swallow, but selling De Bruyne really pissed me off. I was so pumped watching his Genk highlight video when we first signed him, his technical ability on the ball was disgusting. Then coming off his awesome season with Werder Bremen he gets like 4 matches with meaningful numbers, was mediocre, and we just ship him off. Still so mad. What a tough week.

I dunno Lukaku is the worst for me, it seemed pretty obvious he had the ability to be special especially the physical tools he just required coaching. He could have been Drogba 2.0 to lead our team and Jose ran him out because he didn't have the patience.

And I'm over Costa. I'm a competitive asshole so I've always respected the way he approaches the game and his competitive fire, but there is a line and he just doesn't understand that. What's really sad is without him our team lacks any desire whatsoever which is just really depressing. How Costa's crazy irrationally emotional ass is the leader of our team just says a lot

    Sorry drunk ranting

I don't think Jose ran him off. I think he wanted to leave once they bought Costa because he didn't want to compete for #1.

Being reported that pato might head back to Corinthians in the next few weeks and that the Chelsea board think his signing was a mistake.

even with conte who I like and romans money, the last few transfer windows have given me zero faith that whoever is actually buying these players will get it right this summer to bring this team back into the conversation for title contender

he's been with the club 7 weeks and I don't think has made the bench for a match so yeah a mistake. Who made the mistake though and was it a favor to an agent for a future deal? Who knows.

I agree and in Patos case who cares but for falcao that is a 10 million pound favor. Thats is a giant favor for an agent. I think his agent is mendes but not sure what he will be able to do to make up 10 million.

What's with Courtois saying he doesn't know if he will be at Chelsea next season? That would be a real kick in the nuts, even if he hasn't been at his absolute best this season. He kind of comes off like a bitch with the whole collision thing and the amount of games, he's a keeper ffs. He also says Belgium has a higher standard of training than Chelsea, which is kind of uncalled for even if true. Strange remarks all around, IMO.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/503632/Thibaut-Courtois-Chelsea-future-uncertain
The Belgium goalkeeper won the Premier League last season but says he is frustrated with life in England, and may not be around when Antonio Conte takes charge after Euro 2016.

Chelsea have slapped a £73m price tag on him in a bid to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

Courtois said: “Will I leave Chelsea this summer? I won’t say yes, but I won’t say no either.

“I don’t know. I still have three years left on my contract, and we will have to see what Chelsea want to do.
“We have games every three days over here, and no winter break. There are numerous cup competitions to play in, and we have to stay overnight in hotels before matches.

“The matches are played at a high tempo and there are some hefty collisions.
“Sometimes I watch my matches on TV that same evening, and get a shudder when I see myself rushing out into some situations.”

The 23-year-old hit out in a TV interview to be screened on Monday.

“The standard of training is higher when I am with the national side than at Chelsea,” he said. “Belgium’s squad is made up entirely of world-class players.

“But Chelsea’s squad includes some players who are a bit less highly-rated, and we also oftentrain with the youngsters.

According to a French publication we bid £74 million for pogba last summer and it was rejected. Sucks because I don't see us getting him without champions league football unless he is willing to take 1 year off if he wants to move to London and play under conte

Would be nice to have some players loyal to conte because I am tired of Chelsea's consistent lack of loyalty amongst the players who are getting paid incredible amounts of money but only try when they want to

I know it's Villa and they're complete shit but this has been great. Finally got to see an American play for Chelsea (and play well!) and a fantastic performance from RLC. Pato has looked decent for a guy that hasn't played in months and Pedro has started to figure it out.

    But again, it's Villa...

People are starting to catch on to our recipe for success. In all honesty though, whenever teams have played their academy products this season it has worked out rather well. United have been playing better since injuries forced them to give their young lads a chance, and you guys have an absurd amount of young talent just waiting in the wings. Give me some young players who actually love the club and have grown up as fans over mercenaries any day. The difference in effort is definitely noticeable.

Most of us have wanted to see the youth play long before now. Guys like RLC Traore, Brown,Christanson, and now Clarke Slater and Miazga could do the job that some are failing to do for the club.

Also can Courtouis get it to fucking together? He is so indecisive in the air

I know you guys have, Mourinho is literally the worst manager on earth when it comes to giving young players a shot. There is a certain satisfaction you get in watching an academy player make it big instead of just splashing the cash. Really helps budget wise too, obviously.

Going to be a lot of moving and shuffling of players this summer. Will be interesting to see who survives and what kind of players we can bring in without champions league football
