    Proud of the effort all game. Vertonghen continues to try to wind up Costa (and succeed), glad he finally got carded.

    Embarrassing display from Spurs, glad no one was seriously hurt.

    no youth in the starting XI and only RLC on the bench. Guus is a fucking joke. I understand the bournemouth game as a warmup for the tottenham game but now we have nothing to play for. literally nothing. it is sunderland. At least play loftus cheek over matic. Such a joke. not even gonna bother DVRing it

    I dont know why chelsea seems to be making things worse on fans. most pathetic title defense in history. all the fans want are some youth. chelsea with nothing to play for keep trodding out the same losers who play with no pride and lose. fans dont even care if we win if you play youth. guus can fuck off

    I think people are being too harsh on Guus. Dude has jumped into the fire for us on two occasions, won an FA Cup, and by all rights should have taken us to the Champions League final if it wasn't for that Ovrebo fuck. He did a pretty damn good job getting us turned around after Mourinho left, and frankly the youth have gotten a lot more exposure than we would've expected at the start of the season. We've lost 5 of our last 9, and I would definitely agree we are past the point where youth players should be getting more experience, but I think he's done well with the pile of shit he was given to begin with. I guess I'm ranting because the thought of Chelsea fans harboring animosity towards Guus after what he's done for us makes me a little sad.

    2009 isn't 2016 and we're at a critical direction in Chelsea history. There are no guaranteed players anymore and all we ask is youth be given a chance. You see Ballack, Drogba, Lampard, etc in the squad?

    Holy fuck look at improvements other clubs have made from last offseason, give youth a chance over holdovers ego are useless at this point.

    I will say this i appreciate the job Guus has done, but i do hold some resentment towards him for how he has treated Miazga. Guy makes 1 mistake and he is sent to the bench all the while you have veterans being worthless making the same mistakes and they continue to play.

    No fighters on the team is what I mean. Remember the Suarez bite game? We all worried about no fighters and look what's now. Hope Conte can inject life with his mentality that worked at Juventus.

    I feel like whatever youth gains are made would be negated as soon as Conte takes charge; every coach puts his own stamp on the team when he takes the reins. I never thought the months in between Mourinho's departure and now was some pivotal time in which a breakout star was gonna emerge. Guus wasn't hired to take this club forward, that is Conte's job. He was hired to stop us from fucking imploding, to that degree I say he did a good job. I still think they should get a run out, but the frustration is pointless. The next stage of this club starts with Conte, not Guus.

    We're a club with ambition (albeit nuts) located in London that is going to pay a great salary... it's certainly not the worst offer. We've got our warts but I'd have to think we're a top 12-15 spot to land.

    I just don't see why finishing 10th or 14th makes a difference. I'm not talking about guus' first reign. Once we were mathmatically eliminated from Europa league, knocked out of champions league and knocked out of the FA cup we should have been playing youth. Continuing to lose with the same senior players who don't give a fuck or try is the same lame shit we have seen all year. If youth don't get a chance now what makes you think conte will play these players who have never played in a top league? This was a chance to give a run of games to Traore, RLC, Clarke-salter, miazga etc. We know what Cahill can do. At least losing to Sunderland will have a purpose. The way the senior players have refused to try at times is insubordination. Most Chelsea fans have been dying to bring in some youth. There was no better time in the last decade of the club than the last 10 games. Instead I have to watch Mikel be a complete shithead, matic care so little he doesn't celebrate a goal and the only guy who has tried all year Willian finally give up and just say fuck it the last 2 games

    Matic/cesc Pivot, Mikel at CB, no RLC. Only young player who starts is Traore who is our #2 striker with Costa out.

    That's what I thought but saw this tweet which is interesting:

    @honigstein
    @JakeFCohen much more likely that adidas pulled out. they're ditching teams left, right & centre to concentrate on one per league. (MUFC)

    Just don't see how a company can negotiate a deal where one side pulls out of a deal early and the other side is the one who owes heavy compensation. You would think adidas would owe us money if they wanted out or it would be no compensation if it was truly mutual

    Adidas can be hit or miss (huge miss for next year) but I'm not a huge fan that they're so wed to incorporating the actual stripes into every kit. Would just using the logo itself kill them?

    Hopefully we don't wind up with some whack kits and a budget deal.
