Fully expect us to buy another striker and Michy is the first of two new strikers

If we keep Costa and signed naingollen, Kante and another CB added to Michy would you consider the summer a success?

Hard for me to rate our moves because I don't know what kind of system conte wants to employ. If we go 3-5-2, I could see Rahman playing LWB and conte turning him into a real player. I could also see cuadrado at RWB or a new signing if we sell cuadrado competing with azpi at RWB. Azpi against top teams and the other guy against lesser teams

Compared to the last few transfer windows? That would be a smashing success.

Michy isn't without risk but I prefer him at half the cost of Lukaku.

Love him. He just seems to know how to find the back of the net and doesn't seem to be phased on the big stage.

Lots of smoke about Costa staying put . Hopefully Conte can get him focused on playing and not trying to fight everyone.

Just resigned ola aina for 4 years. Big time talent who a lot thought was going to leave for free since his contract expired. If azpi doesn't bring enough pace or conte's liking I could see aina getting a shot in a year or 2 and possibly being a rotational player right away

How do you guys see hazard being used this year? Rumors seem to point to us using a 4-4-2. I don't really think that plays to hazards strengths as it would give him additional defensive responsibility unless you play someone like Kante on his side and allow him more freedom. Also goes to what I think was a big problem for us last year and that is cesc and hazard playing together. Neither brings anything defensively. People point to pirlo under conte and think that cesc could do that but juventus didn't have a winger like hazard who didn't put in a shift. I don't think you can have more than 1 of those players and hazard is the priority. I think a matic/Kante midfield could be interesting. Can't wait to see who we keep and how we lineup

I don't see how a 4-4-2 works unless we bring in someone with the Kante skillset in the midfield. Where does Oscar fit into that formation? Having trouble figuring that out

Saw and English article of what the 4-4-2 could look like if Kante joins:

    GK: Courtois
    LB: Baba
    CB: Zouma
    CB: Terry
    RB: Azpilicueta
    LM: Hazard
    CM: Kante
    CM: Fabregas
    RM: Willian
    ST: Costa
    ST: Michy

If anyone could get cesc to play in a 4-4-2 it would be the 2 defensive mids in 1 n'golo Kante but I still have my doubts about cesc in that system. I would like someone with a tad more balance to the game. Like Arrec Bardwin said I think hazard is best under the striker versus a traditional LM which would make it a 4-4-1-1 versus a 4-4-2. That kind of formation could see oscar play on the wing or it could see a guy like arda Turan who we have been linked with in rumors take over

If we are able to lock down this Kante signing this will be the signing I am most excited about since hazard for sure. Costa was a key signing but Kante will open up the focus on attack for others by dominating the midfield.

I love his attitude and respect his effort, but it was pretty clear last year he didn't have the ability. Can't envision Conte risking his first year by sticking with him..
