Falcao loan with an option to buy is done. Salah rejects Fiorentina's offer... not sure where that leaves us.

We're not even really rumored to be linked with anyone. I guess Pedro's name is floating out there now but I can't see that happening. Still need another CF, clarity in the attacking band of 3, cover at CDM, and another CB for the future.

    Begovic to Chelsea is official.

Like sem was saying I am surprised at the lack of people we are even connected with. We have at best treaded water so far in the window. I don't think we should be making wholesale changes but bringing in a better option at #2 striker over remy, a better RW t compete with Willian or to move Willian in for Oscar at CAM some games, a DM so we don't have to match cesc with Mikel or Ramires in the pivot, swapping Felipe Luis for a younger backup LB who can grow into a starter and a good CB for the future could all help us. At the very least snatch a few more young studs to loan out

New kits have been leaked. They should have known that they couldn't keep it under wraps for that long

The blue looks pretty good. I wish the yellow was a second or third option every year but looks like we have a white second jersey and black or dark navy 3rd

For what they paid us it could have been worse. Looked at man united and their Chevy logo.

We had a bid for John Stones denied. Spurs evidently want Moses and the Salah saga is so convoluted that I am not trying to keep up with it.

Not sure what signing stones would mean for zouma. I could see the two of them forming a long term partnership once terry is gone. I don't think Cahill will be a key player once terry is gone. Terry's organization makes Cahill seem like a much better player than he is. They work well together but I would like to see more zouma with terry this year

More so reading what's going on. Both managers speaking publicly about a bid, Jose seems motivated to get it done.

You're just assuming that Stones wants to move. John Terry played every single minute of the Premier League last year and then there is Cahill and Zouma who would probably be ahead of him. Only Chelsea fans would think that it wouldn't be a mistake for Stones to move there at this point in his career. He'd probably end up in that horrible loan system wormhole you have going on there.

Regardless of how good of a move it is or isn't for Stones I'm going to guess the move happens this window. Maybe I'm wrong :idk:

There is a chance but I don't see it right now because Chelsea still have a bit to come up to reach our asking price. He's not going for less.

Given Jose's public admiration of Stones I don't think transfer fee will hold this thing up.

The bookies seem to think Chelsea get this done too (although it's a small favorite and those lines can be all over the place).

yeah it'll get done I'm guessing. Makes sense too because of the English/home grown requirement and need at CB.

It sure wouldn't make any sense for us. Your bid was way too low and we are razor thin at CB. His value will probably go up in a year or two once the Manchester clubs get involved.

Rooney is the only transfer target since mourinho came back who I remember Jose discussing in public and we didn't get so I think it's just a matter of time with stones

Sounds like Luis will go back to atletico and we will get baba Rahman

Not a sexy transfer window by any means but I don't think we are worse off at any position except backup keeper and we would upgrade CB depth which could be key if zouma plays for CDM or if terry isn't superhuman again

I don't disagree, but we don't give up young talent for less than we are asking for normally. And Chelsea continue to try to get him under that. I don't believe we sell unless they come up to what we are asking, which is about $7 million more (or higher even)

Jesus Christ, hearing £34m now for John Stones. I guess I'm down (has he even solidified a starting spot for Everton?), but Jose must be really enamored. I get the draw of signing an English/ Homegrown player, but fuck me we should've submitted 34m for Varane for shits and giggles. Also what happens to Cahill if this deal goes through? No doubt Zouma is gonna get more playing time this season; 34m is a lot to sign a player in anticipation of departures like JT and Cahill.

I figured it would be around the Luke Shaw price so 34 isn't super out of line IMO. I agree though about Varane.

Seems reasonable considering Cahill and Stones will be the first team England CB's for a long, long time. NM, didn't realize Cahill is now 29.
