    Sounds like
    "Timmy Bakayoko,
    Together with N'golo
    Never give the ball away"
    or something similar

Also, of course Costa is at the match.

Looking good so far. We have had the better chances and unlucky not to have a lead at this point

Luiz made it easy for the ref to call that; just ridiculous from him. We've had chances, hopefully we can put one away in the second half.

We clearly outplayed atletico in Madrid. One of the most impressive performances under conte and best I have seen us look against a top European aide in a long time! Score didn’t even do game justice.

What an awesome game and a massive three points. Hazard and Morata together , Kante was fucking everywhere, and Michy just keeps knocking them in. Best European performance in a lonnnng time.

Rough game for Luiz but he'll be back, need his energy.

Watched at work on my laptop but got to rewatch last night so a couple of observations

    1) on second watch, the performance was even more impressive. Normally an injury time goal to win 2-1 would be a bit lucky but even that scoreline doesn’t do the performance justice

    2) Eden Hazard is back, healthy and as good as he has ever been. Was his full magical self. Great job by conte to ease him back in and get him right

    3) great tactics by conte. The 3-5-2 was correct but he also switched cesc around. Cesc started above kante and bakayoko but when we went 1-0 down he switched him playing below them to get the ball and push the pace. He then went back above them once we were trying to see out the game

    4) cahill played a great game. I am not his biggest fan as a player at this point but he played well. Still not good enough on the ball and has his moments but he played a few passes forward and didn’t stop any forward moving momentum like he has a few times this season.

    5) morata is amazing. The talk will be about the goal but all I heard all summer was we will miss diego’s Holdup play. Morata’s was amazing last night. Everyone will remember the goal because he is a striker but one play where he went 1 v 1 and should to shoulder crushed an atleti player was my favorite play. We weren’t playing a pussy team. Playing mans soccer with atletico is what I wanted to see from him. If he gets that killer instinct watch out

    6) bakayoko is good and will be a star eventually. Right now, we have a player different than matic. More prone to errors and giving the ball away but provides more moving forward and provides dribbling in the midfield we haven’t had since essien. Once he matures a bit and starts to play with better tactical discipline the sky is the limit.

    7) Kante was an animal but in a different way. Kante felt more freedom playing in the 3 man midfield and surprisingly he seemed like the person in the midfield 3 most likely to get forward. Conte has said that is the area kante needs to work on and he has. He dribbled through the midfield and had some great forward moves while still being the kante we know most of the time.

The switch to 3-4-3 last year helped because it shored up the defense, got Luiz in a better position to succeed and gave hazard slightly less defensive responsibility. The switch to 3-5-2, at least in big games, seems to benefit kante and cesc while giving hazard even less defensive responsibly which is good. That formation and performance gives me more confidence not just in Europe but against some of the bigger teams in England. Based on squad depth I would still expect mostly 3-4-3 against non-top 6 sides

Apparently Aguero was in an accident this week and has fractured ribs. With he and Mendy out, our chances got better for tomorrow.

Yep, his cab driver hit a pole and he broke a rib, probably out about two months. Mendy ruptured his ACL and is gone a while
