If you were to combine these 2 teams who you got? As good as kante is he’s more of a hybrid and I would pick Makélélé ahead of him to give balance to the team. Hazard is be only 2010 guy who I take for sure. I would probably take Azpi or prime Ivanovic over gallas but it’s pretty crazy that’s its only 1-2 guys. Possibly courtois.

Was Robben for Chelsea the Robben of Bayern with the German medical treatments?

Hazard and Luiz with maybe Ivanovic are starters. Kante or Essien? 2000s also gave Ballack on the bench.

I'd take the 2000s team. That's a bunch of legends right there. Maybe courtois or hazard will reach that point.

So far it appears our strategy has been to maintain possession, build to attack, and promptly kick the ball directly out of bounds.

Thoughts on the game? I watched a shitty stream so I didn’t see everything but I was for the most part pleased with the performance of the squad players against a mostly first team Everton. Willian scored but I didn’t think he played well before that. You can see musonda’s raw talent but also why Conte is hesitant to play him more. Ampadu at 17 is incredible. Already feels like he is ready for a loan next season. Kenedy was a pleasant surprise. Maybe he can play some lesser games. I think Alonso looks better if he doesn’t have to play as often. Drinkwater seemed right at home in the midfield. I had a feeling he would have a shit game next to ampadu and people would jump on him but he looked good. Would love to see what a drinkwater/kante/bakayako midfield 3 would look like when we play man city later in the season.

First off it was on espn3 so you shouldn't have watched a shitty stream. Onto the game, it was an example of why Michy can't create on his own, he has to have service. Thought Amapdou played well. Thought we played down to an Everton side we should have put 3 or 4 on. Rudiger is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. He is calm on the ball and money in the air.

Such a furstrating player. Can be so agile and quick and get into really advantageous positions but routinely takes horrible touches that lose us possession.

    Yes please.

Internet at work is garbage. Any stream sucks at work. Deli next door has great internet but has blocked all streams on it.

About as good as we could hope for at this point. Should be able to continue to play the young guys and hope Bournemouth puts out a strong 11 and we get to challenge the backups/young guys again.

Amapdu was great and thought Drinkwater did a good job as well.

Bats is what he is but can be effective in his role but it’s such an upgrade when Morata came in. Zapacosta has limitations but provides great width and is quicker than I thought he’d be.

Willy and Charly we’re both very poor. Really wish we could find someone in January to play one of those spots when hazard and Pedro are hurt/tired (or put hazard central).

Willian and musonda are both better playing outside. Musonda has a lot of characteristics hazard had when he was younger but hazard was always stronger and more suited to play inside. Our wingers are more 10s than wingers and it doesn’t fit either of them all that well. Unfortunately the guy who would had done incredibly well next to Hazard is de bruyne.

I would say our wingers are now converted defenders with the advanced outside player being much more narrow. De Bruyne would have been perfect.

Would love to gazzump United and Real for either Greizmann and Dybala, either would be perfect.

Should be a goal or a PK. We weren’t offside, and it hit their players arm.

Agreed, just rough that we had Roma 2x without him. Hopefully we can get a point today and secure the 6 against Quarabag and that should be enough to get us through to the knockouts.
