I am excited to see what RLC and Abraham can do the rest of the year and who they can be in the 1st team coming back next year. Conte didn’t rotate the squad and the youth didn’t develop last season. We didn’t have Europe and i think conte told the board that was the reason but they didn’t fully believe him and made sure we loaned out everyone so they develop. Now that conte has shown with added games he will rotate I hope that we will bring back RLC and Abraham and not recruit over them. We need to add but let’s add a star wingback, a star right wing/forward, sell Willian and integrate our youth into the first team for real.
Perfect. I think the 3-4-2-1 has been found out to an extent and 3-5-2 is the way forward. You don’t need 2 elite wingbacks but you need 1. Just don’t think Alex Sandro will ever happen sadly.
Against bigger teams I think he should. Cesc did so well as a sub. Either way our midfield needs to stay fresh. Even if RLC gets 25 starts at one of the 3 midfield spots I think it’s a win. We don’t just need depth we need different types of players to maximize conte’s ability to beat different teams different ways.
Sounds like the rumors have us selling Willian and buying Lucas moura. Would be a complete waste of agents fees to get a slightly less talented Willian.
Apparently our stadium is now going to cost £1 billion and has been delayed until at least 2024 and could see us play 3-4 seasons in wembley. It will obviously be an incredible stadium but will we be able to recoup that going from 41k to 60k fans? I guess they will add a lot of hospitality but still that seems crazy.
Factoring in lack of depth, summer drama, hazard starting the season off injured, bakayoko starting the season injured, drinkwater being injured, kante injury, champions league football in a pretty tricky group and the premier league tradition of the champion taking their foot off the gas I would say we are having a great season. Christensen over Luiz has worked and was an incredibly brave call. 3-5-2 with our lack of midfield depth was a brave call. Conte deserves a lot of credit for doing this in the shadow of the media who has been trying to sack him since summer. I just hope we keep him at least another year. We obviously need to finish top 4 but losing the league to a city team who is firing on all cylinders is not a failure.

Very meh early they should have scored. 3-4-3 not looking great without a target man up front, 2 man midfield with cesc looks weak as is typically the case and Luiz didn’t read the play right which increased how good of a chance they had when they should have scored. Gonna need some hazard magic

I have a feeling there will be a lot of positives from this game but it will be hard for me to like a play more than that play from Pedro. I love when a guy CAN go down and fights not to.
Think penalty was just the right call but never a red. Oh well, take advantage of the Good Luck and keep the pressure on.
