Much needed 3 points but more importantly much needed confidence boosting performance. Still very clear where this team needs help but if hazard plays like this we can beat a lot of teams

Probably not. I doubt Conte is our manager at that point and he is the one pushing for Vidal. We will probably go after someone older, British, not nearly as talented and more expensive
Price isn’t bad and like JGator1 said he’s an upgrade on Kenedy. Unfortunately we could have bought Alex Sandro for the price we paid for Alonso, Emerson and baba and still had some money left for a half decent backup. That doesn’t even include the zappacosta deal.
Has anyone missed the target from inside the box as often as Willian? There are aspects of his game that I like but he rarely even comes close to the target let alone scoring.

No idea what Alonso was doing on the right side of the field in the buildup to that goal. Alonso has such bad positional awareness as a defender

We have to buy a striker because Conte has ruined any confidence that Bats had by not starting him today. I'm still not convinced it will be Dzeko though.
I don't understand why you don't start him here. Coming off a good game and at least could have been chance for board or Conte to see him in a big game like this and figure out what the hell they want to do about striker. We looked a lot better with him last match than we did in this one. Barkley was terrible, don't see how that doesn't become a terrible transfer.
Was his choice to not include musonda. Like RLC whenever he gets a chance he looks good. Conte won’t trust him. Bats has at least had chances that he hasn’t taken advantage of.
I've been firmly on the Conte side until recently. Not playing Bats yesterday was a huge mistake IMO. We have youth that has impressed and instead of giving them chances we keep getting stuck in the same situation over and over.
Ampadou is so so good. 17 or not he should be on the bench at least ever match, fuck going on loan. Between him and Christensen, Chelsea look in good shape in defense for a long time.
Not sure if he is a defender or a DM yet. Leaning DM for ampadu. You have to think that we wont be a 3/5 at the back forever.
I saw some people compare him to Luiz before he played for us and i chuckled at how lazy the comparison must be given the hair but they really do have a lot of similarities. In a 4-3-3 with a DM and 2 CM playing above the DM I think Ampadu could thrive. Not right away but I see him as a guy who could be a starter by 19 or 20. Amazing how he’s held his one at 17 when he has played.
