The peaks and valleys of this club are something else. A top 4 finish seems improbable at this point and the Barcelona matchup vs this defense is disastrous. Hopefully this is the last we'll see of Cahill, among others.
This was my sentiment earlier in the season but it looks like all parties involved have gotten so frustrated they have completely given up, so much so that I'm beginning to get frustrated with Conte as well.

This. Some blame has to fall on the players. The only thing consistent between both our recent lapses in years after winning the league was our players.
I’ve defended conte a lot and have put most of the blame for our current issues on the board but I don’t really understand how giroud is better than bats at anything other than being a sub. With morata out, bats seems like a better starter. The fact that he was benched for hazard to play up top to get Pedro and Willian on the field makes no sense. Neither brings much going forward. That said, bats getting his form back will be good to either sell him for a big fee in the summer or give him a good chance of playing for the new manager.
I don’t see pulisic being interested in our current setup. Sounds like we are targeting Leon bailey anyway
No Pulisic doesn’t seem all that interested in a quick move to England. If he does it’ll be for United. Bailey is phenomenal
Bats hold up play is why he isn't here still. Hate it to because I'm a huge Bats fan who thinks he didn't get a fair shake.
Bats dropped into midfield and played a fantastic ball to Schurrle who then made a great run and played in Götze to solidify the win
Part of me thinks conte never believing in him made bats try so hard when he got a chance that he couldn’t put it together. He has the personality that might not work for conte or mourinho unless things start great but who could excel under someone like Carlo.
Iirc Man U was the only club in real contention for Hazard and we mainly signed him due to King Drogba somehow carrying us to the Champions League title (with a lot of luck).
In the weeks leading up the any announcement his agent was still saying it was down to all 3. Maybe it was only serious with the 2 but they were still saying City up until very close to the end That was my first transfer window paying attention so may have just been BS though but I remember it well

Decent first half, Giroud was up and down but so nice to have a target man up front. The past few games with a false 9 and playing crosses to Hazard, Pedro, Willian, etc was extremely frustrating.
