Good to see Giroud score. He’s always been a guy that kind of avalanches but takes some time to get started. I’m hoping he gets more service with Hazard up too and opportunity as well. He just feels more polished.

As for today I really think we need a striker up top. Morata or giroud is the question. Should clearly be morata but he might not be fully fit and was so low on confidence before the injury layoff. I might go with giroud. I just hope we don't go 3-5-2. Team just doesn't seem to play right in that formation.
Also anyone else think Azpi on the left would be a good move? Rudiger looks more comfortable on the right anyway but messi cutting in off the right is the most dangerous threat and Azpi is the guy I would want to counter that threat.
This season has been so unpredictable that I have no idea what to expect but I'm definitely expecting the worst.
No fucking false 9 and I'll be happy enough. Morata starts then Giroud can sub on depending on the score imo.
I would prefer Giroud to start and Morata be available. I just feel Giroud is more hungry and is more polished.

I like the lineup fwiw because there is no Cahill. Hopefully Hazard does something special to steal a goal.
To me that means Morata isn't fit and we don't trust Giroud yet. Believe that's a mistake, we've looked inept offensively with the false 9.
I don't really understand the decision at all with how bad we have looked with the false 9. Guess we're playing to not concede?
You could at least trust Giroud to get Hazard and Willian/Pedro involved with his hold up play. Don't like it, but I'm sure Conte knows what he's doing.
