Would you guys be ok with signing hazard to an extension at £300-350k/week with a clause that allows someone to come in the first week or next summers window and buy him for £225m or £250m? It expires after maybe a week or 2? If he wants to leave next summer and doesn’t sign an extension i am not sure we get that much. That gives us hazard for this season to get us in the champions league and then we either get a pretty penny early next summer with time to try and replace or no one triggers it and he stays and we maintain control through the rest of his prime.
Do you guys think we end up holding on to Willian? I have always been fond of him as he always seems to have a high work rate and when he's in form he can be spectacular, but he's frustratingly inconsistent and the price tags we've heard seem intriguing. I kind of want to see what he can do under Sarri so I won't be too upset if we keep him, but I almost feel like we have to sell.
If the price that Barca's rumored to be willing to pay is legit (around 50 mil) then we should absolutely sell him, he's turning 30 in August.
