Cesc is fired up at the prospect of winning his first premier league title http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/4/19/8451481/winners-winning-winningly
if middlesborough get promoted he might go out to loan to them for one more year but i would much prefer bamford or bertrand traore over drogba
I think this will be an interesting summer. We have money to spend, very few holes and some promising youth that the club would love to breakthrough. Here are some events that will be likely to happen 1) Cech will get sold. It is a virtual lock that he will be replaced with a homegrown GK to help our homegrown quota 2) Chelsea will look to add a stud center midfielder. Any time without cesc hurt the team but time without Matic killed us. Luckily he has stayed healthy but we need a player capable of bossing the midfield. The obvious choice is Pogba (wouldn't be a post by me without him included) but if he is too expensive we need someone else. I expect mikel and/or ramires to be sold as they have not given us enough 3) Chelsea will look to add a stud CB. You have to think mourinho would love to pry Varane from Real Madrid. It will be tough but with Pepe/Ramos the preferred pair, he will go for it. Varane/terry for one year until Varane/Zouma becomes preferred would be ideal. Cahill has not been good enough for me. If he played with someone other than terry it would be concerning 4) do we try and inprove on the right wing? The messi rumours aside, how many right wingers improve our team on willian? If cuadrado cannot get a game, who else that is better is out there? I think bringing bertrand traore back makes the most sense. Not sure if he can get a work permit but I don't see us buying someone for this position. Victor Moses as a homegrown option is a possiblity as well but most likely he get sold 5) if Drogba leaves, who becomes the third (or second) striker? Remy seems to be good when fit and with costa breaking down, having Bamford back could help. If we bring in Bamford as the third striker and traore as the 4th striker/3rd right winger, we can have the depth we need at striker considering we have 2 good ones who happen to be injury prone 6) where do young players fit in? To me, Ruben loftus cheek and ake are ready for games but when and who would they replace? One option is to add no additional depth at center mid and have them be the replacements but Chelsea typically don't give a spot to a youth player so it will be interesting if they finally do. One thing to note is that ake played left back for reading on loan at the weekend and apparently looked very good. If Felipe Luis is unhappy with playing time, perhaps ake could be the third fullback. Brown, solanke, baker and a few others have talent but I don't see them as ready for the first team just yet
I love the lineup. Drogba picked up a knock last weekend and hasn't been good in either of the last 2 games. With arsenal starting mertesacker, I expect Willian, hazard and oscar to be ruthless on the counter
Also I think anyone can put out some of the lineups we were putting out and win games early in the season like we did. Mourinho proves himself as the all-time great manager he is when he pulls a rabbit out of his ass and wins with inferior teams like inter/Porto or when he has an injury crisis and employs bizarre tactics that no one saw coming like last week and this week
@OliverKayTimes: Mourinho responds to Arsenal fans' "boring, boring Chelsea" chants: "Ten years without a title, I think that's boring ..."
If we can win against Leicester and palace and officially be champions next Sunday, I wonder how mourinho treats the final 3 games. Does he start a young lineup at home against Liverpool? I could not think of a better game for loftus-cheek, ake, solanke, brown or any of our other youngsters to play. I want to see all of them start at least one of the final games and I would ideally like loftus-cheek to start all 3. If we don't give them a chance in meaningless games, mourinho will never give them a chance once games start counting again next year

Quote from a premier league scout "If Ruben loftus-cheek were Belgian and playing for anderlecht, he would be worth £30m and every premier league team would be battling it out to sign him"
Even if it is just a friendly you will love it. Not sure if the South American contingent will be back from copa America but all the European players plus most of our stud youth players should be on the tour
That's the hope. While I would like to see the SA players, the euros and the youth will be fun to see in person
I'll be driving up to Charlotte for the game with some friends. Wouldn't mind meeting up with any others that will be there.
