Conte has never won a title game. I believe he never won Italian cup. If this loss helps us get summer signings I'm good. Moses a great story but a real RWB needed. If this loss stops the repeat of 2 years ago I'm ok with it
2-1 was lucky. That was arsenal's game. If we won that would have been an unfair result to them. Sell costa to china, replace him and buy a real midfielder if you don't want to start Cesc. Matic can eat dick. Buy a RWB who is better than Moses and we good. Hopefully roman gives conte a blank check. I am nervous that he won't.
From a defending perspective Luiz was also awful today. I thought Luiz, Moses and matic were clearly the weak links. Unfortunately Luiz and matic being in the middle of the pitch made it easy for Arsenal. Luiz was great in our 13 game winning streak but I feel like Cahill gets way more stick than Luiz because Luiz is just easier to like as a person. Cahill and courtois kept us in the game
Great season for #Chelsea and today changes nothing. Would have loved to get the win but wouldn't change places with anyone in England.
God, yesterday sucked. Arsenal were the better side but shitty missed call(s) on the first goal and Moses being a moron made it really difficult to assess. Not sure about the news of Costa staying. Great talent but such a lunatic I don't want to be the club holding the bag when he gets his inevitable 10 game ban for biting someone or punches a coach. Hopefully Christensen is everything we hope for.
More I think about yesterday's game more mad I get. Not that we lost. Arsenal played well and in soccer anything can happen in one game. It's about the way we played. They could have easily scored 4-5.
Also Count me as not team costa. He is too volatile. Conte did a masterful job getting him to contribute but it's clear he doesn't love London and I could see him derailing us next season.
Would Pedro be okay with a super sub role? I'm not sure I want him starting 25+ games next year but I think he'd be awesome off the bench.
I would like to see a bit more movement in the market but we will have to be patient. The costa drama playing out and potentially getting a replacement in late just makes me nervous going into the start of the season. Conte isn't a piece of shit like mourinho so they won't quit on him so spectacularly but I feel like next season could start slow with a late charge to top 4 and hope for the next season.
Bummed about Solanke leaving but that's going to happen with our system. I wonder what's in store for Traore or if they try to make the RLC experiment up front, work.
Saw Traore possibly being sold for 20. Have also read that Cesc might be headed to Milan still. Will be sad if this is true
Weird solanke deal aside we aren't selling any youth without a buyback clause moving forward so I look at any youth sales as a 2 yr loan away and we can decide if they are a first team player for us at that point
Anyone think azpi could start at RWB next season? I thought he looked bad as a WB early in the season but he really started to move up the pitch and influence the game more as the season wore on. If he were to move that opens up the RCB role for Christensen or VVD and allows more of an opportunity to ake if he stays. Moses was really good for a stretch but he seemed to fade as the season wore on. He has also been chronically injured most of his career which makes his relatively good health of this season something we would be best not to count on. This is a good article discussing this. http://theprideoflondon.com/2017/05...ews&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=apple-news

https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/features/2017/6/1/15723424/summer-transfer-notebook-chelsea Article is a bit long and you can skip the first part but the second part details some possible transfer targets and gives a good description of each. The more I see the more I think a switch to 3-5-2 makes sense. 3-4-2-1 works so well against a 4 man D because hazard and Pedro/Willian could attack the spaces between the centerbacks and the fullbacks. The 3 man D teams employed against us later in the season stunted some of that success. The ability to go 3-5-2 can change the spacing. I also don't rate the possible RF targets. Bale and ousmane dembele would probably be my top 2. I don't think we have a chance at either. In fact I don't think we have a chance at anyone who upgrades on Pedro/Willian.
Probably won't be the same early in the year either. Hopefully this forces the board to go get another top level forward.
Haven't seen him mentioned ANYWHERE which makes me think he's staying. I think he will move once Barca or real want him.
