Sorry, just pissed. Hate seeing Atlanta winning the Super Bowl in a blowout while we go 7-9 every year.
wasn't too long ago that we were winning the Super Bowl and the Falcons sucked. Sports goes in cycles
Yeah, if they win a few I'll worry about it. Just in that perfect cycle right now where their defense is playing at a high level and Ryan isn't playing like ass in the postseason for the first time in his career.
Wonder if Clown Baby ever wishes he was a "bandwagon saints fan" so he'd know what a super bowl felt like. (Thank god you have 16, crimson brother)
I know Atlanta should be good again next year (on paper at least), but how do you come back from that? Hopefully they have a Super Bowl hangover similar to the Panthers.
That was monumental. Atlanta didn't only lose, but it will be regarded as the most demoralizing and brutal loss ever considering the stakes. I mean 28-3. And some horrible play-calling from Kyle Shanahan. He was calling pass plays with that big lead and instead could have been running down the Patriots throat + milking the clock.
well did the watch just now (timezones and such) and it was just amazing fun seeing that team implode
Nielsen is a stud. He's taken our DL of mostly 2 and 3 stars and had us as a top 10 rush D unit this past year. We also led the nation in 1st down plays of zero or negative yardage. Really hate we are losing him. Young guy with tons of enthusiasm. We also may or may not be eskimo brothers.
Watching some of the Patriots parade. I think I would have offed myself seeing Ryan, Quinn, and Blank riding down Peachtree with the Lombardi.
Have you ever been around them for an extended amount of time? I was never around falcons fans growing up so I didn't really hate them. Then I went to school in auburn and was surrounded by them. Atlanta sports fans in general are faggots but god damn do i hate the falcons. Also I saw Atlanta is now the worst sports town in the country. 157 seasons with one championship. Even Cleveland isn't that bad
My college team doesn't have a true rival, so the Falcons are all I got. And obviously I'm kidding about "offing myself" after the parade.
Atlanta people are just horrible fans overall. You won't hear anything about the Falcons or Hawks, but if each makes it into the playoffs then it's a different story and now it's a big deal. Whereas in New Orleans every Sunday is a big deal. Trust me, I remember the Billy Joe Tolliver years and I always cheered on my Saints. I guess you could argue the Braves have a good following? But they didn win a ton.
Grew up approximately 1.5 hours from ATL. Didn't know anyone that was a Falcons fan except my uncle. Now all of a sudden 3/4 of my Facebook friends are the biggest Falcon's fan. I was never really a NFL fan until going to a NOLA vs ATL game at ATL and was almost 1/2 NOLA fans and 1/2 ATL fans. Started liking Saints more and then I moved to NOLA. It was so great being in that atmosphere. Almost everyone I worked with were season ticket holders and everybody is a rabid Saints fan. The city is electric on Sundays. Now a lifelong Saints fan and hater of Falcons aka UAB of NFL.
The Braves had trouble selling out playoff games back when they were good. We had Saints season tickets in the 80's and 90's when I was a kid. Between those games and LSU football during the same time period I've seen so much bad football in my life...
Atlanta is much larger than New Orleans and has a lot more transplants. Probably a big reason why no one there seems to give a shit about the Falcons.
