That's his current girlfriends. Wife randomly told me last night that they were friends, was kind of pissed this information is only being shared with me now because I would have been working that angle to try and be bffs with a State coach, plus she's pretty hot.
hey naganole you got killed in your own thread for this but I'd like to tell you that you have the support of this thread excellent post
I think I like this guy better than Taco http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2017/insider/story/_/id/18677111/mel-kiper-2017-nfl-mock-draft-20 11. New Orleans Saints, 7-9 Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford** By their recent standards, the Saints took a small step forward on defense last season, but they really went only from "worst" to "almost the worst." They simply have to get better on that side of the ball if they want to be more than a .500-range team, even with a great offense. Thomas can be a terror as a pass-rusher, but he's a pretty complete player and simply makes teams better.
Taco and Thomas are different types of DE's IMO, depends on what you're looking for, but Thomas is more well rounded at this stage of his career while I think Taco is a better pure pass rusher with a slightly higher ceiling.
Not Saints, but Mickey just orchestrated a fucking tremendous trade to bring Boogie Cousins to the Pels.
Should be enough to squeak in the playoffs. I guess getting thrashed by the Warriors in round 1 is better than nothing at all.
So Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson have been released I'll have one of those please. Take a risk on those knees
So rumors are that Cooks will be traded to the Eagles? Not sure how I feel about that. I know Brees can make any WR look great - but I'd want to get a lot back for him.
Titans were also showing interest in Cooks, that's where that rumor came from. Seems like Philly is the front runner. He is worth either 14 overall, or 2nd + good player IMO.
Been talk of snapping the fifth for 11 and cooks and i sure as hell would not take that unless garrett is on the board somehow
So the latest speculation is that the compensation for Brandin Cooks will be a 2nd round pick..... That's highway robbery and if we go 7-9 (again) both Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis should be fired.
Are they trying to deal cooks because of what he wants contract wise? Makes sense to me. Dude is good but he's not top dollar good
Purely my opinion: GM Mickey Loomis is trying to maximize the talent around Drew Brees, in what could be his last season with the Saints. Yes, Brandin Cooks is good, a good deep threat and fast. He will command a big salary in the near future and Loomis might think it's time to go ahead and trade him and get something in return. Honestly I've always felt like Mickey Loomis and Sean Payton have tried relentlessly since 2006 to follow in the footsteps of the New England Patriot mold and this Cooks story sounds like. Almost like Jamie Collins situation. He wanted money and they shipped him off for value. The big difference is that the Patriots have solid defensive players, the Saints do not.
I'm all about acquiring draft picks, but Cooks for a second round pick doesn't make sense. Unless we're getting a 2018 pick as well.
If all they are asking is a 2nd and a player, Philly is trying to move Kendricks and Barwin since they don't fit the wide-9 scheme they are employing now. Kendricks needs a change of scenery, he was lights out his first 1.5 years but he's fallen out of favor since. Doubt NO would consider those players enough return along with Philly's second round pick.
Yeah that's no good. Cooks is as sure as gone after that. And honestly who's to blame? I feel like Cooks is the odd man out here. He complained about not getting enough targets - Terrell Owens said his quarterback Jeff Garcia was a 'fag.'
meh- we weren't going to give him the big contract he deserves so I guess better to get something now than nothing later. I also don't think our offense will miss him at all. Was hoping for more, but those 2 picks *should* be contributors day 1. (We'll probably fuck them both up)
Cooks was becoming a distraction anyway. Get some picks for one last run with Brees. Good move and the offense won't miss a beat.
I would much rather have the Titans 18th selection instead of 32. I don't like this trade. Watch we will send the Patriots back their 32nd selection in a deal for Malcolm Butler once he signs a deal.
