Every team deals with injuries and transfers, and every team should have Al Thorntons who develop late and become very good players. Thornton was Class of 2002, also - if you want to go back three more years, add two more five stars (Alexander Johnson, Von Wafer) and four more four stars (Diego Romero, Jerome Habel, Jason Rich, and Isaiah Swann) to the massive pile of talent Hamilton has done nothing with.
so youre saying Hamilton has a track record of recruiting overrated/bust recruits. If he's not winning games and his recruiting sucks, why defend him?
Best fsu could get imo during those times. Football was terrible and there was no money coming in. No want to go to a sub basketball school with shitty faculties. That sums up what I'm trying to say, he is the best fit for fsu until they update facilities and start being a place for florida/ga recruits would like to play. I'm not sure any coach in fsu budget ans shitty basketball fan base could have done a substantial better job. That being said with Billy D gone it makes fsu a more desirable location
i realize football is king at fsu but they can definitely do better. just like we could do better in football no idea why programs accept mediocrity or subpar results just "because that's what's expected"
I agree, think most people accepted it, including me, because if fsu is ducking at football, no booster gives a shit about basketball. Now that fsu has an ad that cares about basketball, think hamilton will retire soon, but he wants to let thsee two recruiting classes play out. It seems like hamilton has to recruit guys before they become good to get them to fsu. I completely agree with a lot of what yall have said, but I don't think he is terrible and was the right fit for fsu during thsee year but it likely time for a replacent.
Just wanted to pop in to say there there is definitely nothing to see in Tallahassee. Everything has been on the up and up and no underhanded or improper acts have been committed to coerce these upstanding basketball talents to become Noles.
@JamieShaw5: Phenom Champions Classic Seventh Woods says "I'm WIDE Open" SCar UNC Fla Kan & GTown lead
Tatum's deciding in the next two weeks, preparing to develop an appropriate base level of hatred before deciding whether he's a douche or not
I honestly hadn't heard his name attached to us. Maybe LJ Peak is giving Hoyas some exposure. I thought he was a lock for UNC.
assuming roy prioritizes him, he's unc imo if he gets impatient or offended by us targeting bigger guys, then it's the cocks
Roy's definitely prioritized him, just a lot of pressure to stay home I'd say it bodes well for UNC that he's waited this long to see how the NCAA stuff plays out
@KyleTucker_CJ: Harry Giles, also just back from world champs, is starting this morning and Roy Williams, Danny Manning, Jason Capel, Kevin Ollie courtside.
Austin Nichols blocked from UVA because we might play Memphis them in a preseason tournament in 2 years. Unhappy with this decision.
Malik Monk article by Gary Parrish: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebas...ohn-calipari-get-malik-monk-to-leave-arkansas Sounds like North Little Rock guard Adrian Moore is going to visit Wake Forest soon Fran Tarkenton. He's a kid that had a lot of exposure as a freshman and sophomore, but hasn't developed that well and has kind of fallen off most high major radars. Arkansas or Baylor aren't even recruiting him anymore. He's played on some talented HS teams with Kevaughn Allen and Anton Beard (and KJ Hill). DeRon Davis had an update yesterday Cornfed Buffalo Davis mentioned several schools he's seriously considering: "UConn, Texas, CU (Colorado), Indiana, Arkansas. Notre Dame's been coming, and I just picked up an offer from Alabama a couple weeks ago." https://usf.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1781556#sthash.jtdG0PIu.dpuf
the Georgia Stars won the 1st semifinal they have some top talent too. Wendell Carter is another big supposedly going to Duke
Adam Zagoria @AdamZagoria Chris Paul on his advice to Harry Giles on recruiting: "School comes first and then basketball comes after that."
outside of those rapscallions in the women's basketball program, this is what unc athletics is all about the fit is perfect, harry
Reggie Rankin @ReggieRankin Kobi Simmons down to Ohio State, Xavier, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona
sweet. being in all these dudes top 5's and them not picking us is really awesome and totally not getting old or annoying
