Adam Zagoria @AdamZagoria Sounds like UK has a strong shot at Bam Adebayo tomorrow. 5:33 PM - 16 Nov 2015 · New Jersey, USA, United States
Ya this is catching UK people off guard, I'm seeing confirmation from good sources now but I'll believe it when I see it.
Went from Wolfpack lock since June to UK lock in about 24 hours. Either it's a huge charade to get attention for his announcement, or we've been duped for a long time.
We were always told everyone around him wants NC State except his advisor who liked UK, and that Bam liked UK as much as State but wanted to play with Dennis Smith and be close to his family in eastern NC. In addition to the Adidas connection with his traveling team. Gonna really suck if we get big dicked right at the end.
Nah, he really wants to win a state title and moving gave him a better chance to do that. I think there was some thought that getting him away from home would lessen the influence of Peartree, his advisor, but it sounds like his new HS coach has been a UK advocate as well.
The announcement being on Mike-Mike all but eliminates I think, unless there's some super secret squirrel plan to generate shock and awe.
Giles Adebayo Smith Woods Parker All attending different schools. I never pay attention to the early "package deal" BS with these kids. Too many influences, related to playing time and $$$.
I'm in wait and see mode but the 1st ever announcement on Mike and Mike is very much a Calipari type move.
Bam is the best of the 3, so I'd guess he'll start. Lee should be back as well, so he'll take either the 4 or the 5, so 2 of those guys probably won't start. Cal might force Gabriel into the 3 position similar to Trey Lyles though. Then again, Derek Willis will be a senior, and has shown quite a bit of improvement. If he has a good season, he'll have the starting 3 locked down next year.
Avg 12.5 pts a game and 7th man at this point. I don't think he will ever be a regular starter at UK.
Has the topic of the Lawson brothers and Pastner hiring their dad been discussed previously? (Dedric is a stud btw)
May have to retract it, late momentum the other way now...went from 91/9 our way last night on 247s CB and our Rivals guys confident to 50/50 and some concern over the Huell commitment today If it happens though oh well, 2 outta 3 aint bad as they say
Chris Fisher @ChrisFisher247 20s20 seconds ago Per @trey1037TheBuzz, Malik Monk will sign with Kentucky.
Bo Mattingly @SportsTalkwBo 3m3 minutes ago Multiple sources indicate that Malik Monk has informed Arkansas that he will be signing with Kentucky.
Trey Schaap @trey1037TheBuzz BREAKING: Malik Monk wanted to commit to Arkansas. His brother Marcus wouldn't let him because of "distractions." He will sign with Kentucky 10:30 AM - 18 Nov 2015
I've been aware of this for a while. Knew Malik was leaning Ark but big brother was pushing KY. Marcus had said initially he was going to let him make his decision, but obviously that's not the case.
Sorry for you, sucks, but holy shit what a class. Cal said a few weeks ago he thought this might be his best class yet and the way the dominos have fallen it may be.
There will be speculation that he's just falling on the sword to take some of the heat off of Malik, but it's been Marcus pushing for this for a while. Really bummed, but I'll still root for him. Great kid.
Unfamiliar with the family, I looked up Marcus Monk. This is from his wiki: Marcus Monk (born April 26, 1986 in Lepanto, Arkansas) is an American footballwide receiver who is currently a free agent and is a little punk for making his little brother go to Kentucky. Just leave Arkansas now, traitor. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arkansas. Monk has also been a member of the New York Giants. As of January 2012, Monk is playing professional basketball in the GermanBasketball Bundesliga. Edit: I'm sure this was done by bertwing
