The show has its moments, but it really seems unrightfully smug to me and I just don't enjoy watching it that much. 30 Rock is completely hit or miss for me (shit's been definitely missing as of late), and The Office is just poopy now. Parks and Rec is really the only show that I consistently enjoy(ed) in that lineup, but it seems to be getting a little old.
Modern Family didn't have a single even meh ep. If they keep it up 2-3 more seasons at least it begins to move into the all time greats level.
not even an above average phil moment but how can you say phil annoying? that disappoints me Modern Family - Cool Dad can't stand the show. i know i'm alone but i dont think i've ever laughed holy fuck that was an annoying episode. that said, both were great 1st seasons agreed 100%.

Modern Warfare is the funniest episode of the year. The Modern Family where Claire embarrasses Alex in the mall parking lot for trying to play her is the funniest moment on TV this year. "While your out, why don't you pick up some training bras? You don't really need them yet but your little boobies will be popping up any day now! Mama loves you, kitten! Mwah! Mwah!" *starts to drive away* "That'll teach her to screw with me." Close second is when they eat Haley's cookies, pretend theyre awsome, and then call poison control as soon as she leaves.
When Claire oversleeps and doesn't get the iPad for his birthday and tells him to wait a week, Phil has a comment along the lines of "Those are the worst words in the world for an early adopter." I had to pause and rewind several times before continuing. It was one of the funniest things I heard all year long.
Phil is damn near my blueprint for fatherhood. Be a big kid and let Mom handle the discipline. The ADHD sequence of the Van Gogh episode describes pretty much every guy on the planet.
I stuck with Community throughout the season. Never really thought to watch Modern Family until this summer. I think as a whole season Modern Family was better but Community had better single episodes.
They're kinda in a holding pattern. They'll pretty much have to introduce the mom this season or the kids ages are gunna start not making sense.
True, but HIMYM seems to be going at a year per season, since the main character has a birthday episode each season.
thought it was a very good first episode. loved Spoiler the "spare chang" line and betty white was great. shooting starburns with that weapon was great. also, brita looked great tonight, i agree it was the best she's ever looked on that show
Always sunny has fallen big time. How I met your mother......Really? Its the better version of Two and a half men....Which isnt saying much.
First few seasons of HIMYM is great. Last season was pretty meh though. The creators even admitted as much.
strong start. Spiderman pajamas was a good touch...also liked how Troy went to Brita's side then asked Annie where the cleanest bathroom was. Gillian Jacobs did look hotter than usual. Betty White was funnier than I expected.
