just what the fuck is going on in this game? You're playing a B team and getting it stuffed up your shitbox.
Something happened with this team a few weeks ago. Not sure what, but they don't look like they want to play.
I don't know if there is a more misleading record in the NFL right now than the Falcons at 6-2. So sad
And then that happens. This team can fucking execute, I'm starting to believe Shanahan might be fucking us. When Ryan runs the no huddle, good things happen more often than not.
Meh I just think bounces started to go the other way. Atlanta has only really dominated 1.5 games this year. Eagles and Giants they were really lucky to not lose both. Barely squeaked by a bad Tenn and Wash team. I think the Falcons are just an average team this year that have fortunately taken advantage of a weak schedule. I hope they prove me wrong though.
We still need so much help defensively. My god. If we lose I'm going to have to quit my job because the Jag fans will never stop with the Gabbert ice burns.
Uhhh are we gonna act like the officials didnt force an uninjured player off the field? I havent seen that yet. Gabbert was obviously fine after a good hit, which of course was flagged and then escorted off the field by the officials.
That was not a fucking first down. We stuffed the shit out of that. Also Matt Ryan has played like total ass 4 straight weeks now.
The announcers just casually dropped that it was an obvious helmet to helmet hit but I watched the same replays and saw helmet to upper chest with a big head whiplash. Basically, regardless if any actual head contact is made, if a hit looks too hard on a QB you are getting flagged.
I swear the Falcons should just run a 2 minute O every game all game as their offense. Matt Ryan can be retarded all game but turns into Tom Brady in those situations.
A Field goal?! Are you fucking kidding me?! I hate that dumbass shit so much. $5 we never get the ball back
I agree on the hit. It was not helmet to helmet. Im more pissed that they stopped the game and the officials went into the huddle and pulled Gabbert out and took him to the sideline. And here they go for the three instead of going for it on 4th and GL. Fuck you clowns. Have some balls, worst case you dont get it and they get the ball on the 2.
It seems like a really obvious choice to go for it. What am I missing? You field goal, then you need to get the ball back and kick another field goal within three minutes. You go for it, worst case scenario you have them pinned on the three years line.
On the Gabbert getting pulled bullshit http://www.ninersnation.com/2015/11...fly-replaced-blaine-gabbert-due-to-concussion
So let's break down the decision. 4th and goal on about the 3, down by 4. Go for it and miss it and you count on your D to make a stop. SF would be pinned super deep. Kick the FG and you still count on your D to make a stop, at which point they have 15 yards of better field position. The difference is that in going for it you actually have a shot to win the game right there. In not going for it you forfeit your chance to win outright, and trade it for 15 yards of worse field position, STILL needing a stop but the benefit of only needing 3 instead of 7. I can guarantee you statistics would show that kicking the FG drastically lowers your odds of winning right there and yet it's another of those dumbass things that is just generally agreed on as the "right" call, sort of like punting from mid field on 4th and short and other dumbass moves.
Fuck you coach. I'm so fucking sick of watching "conventional logic" on decisions like that. A bunch of freaking elderly media guys and ex coaches will defend it bc that's how they did things back in '63 when a good QB threw for 10 TDs a year. Such bullshit. What's annoying is that nobody in the post game interview will second guess his decision, yet if he had gone for it (which would've been the statistically superior choice) and missed, he'd get crucified for making such a "risky" decision. I hate everyone
what do you mean you dont agree? if you're down 4, you kick a field goal, cut the lead to 1, you only need to get back inside the 40 or so to win the game instead of score a touchdown
What are the other wild card teams shaking out as in the NFC? I'm seeing us probably sneaking in with 9, maybe 10 wins, then getting promptly pummeled in the playoffs. Atl is an average team, our only hope is channeling our inner Giants and getting hot at the right moment
