Nooooo, not a 1st round pick. I didn't think he would be projected nearly that high off of one game. I was thinking 3rd-4th round. We wouldn't do it and we've got much bigger needs, but I would love to have a weapon like him.
If he drops that far I'd be all for it, but he is going to be drafted a lot higher than his stats would suggest
Kiper first mock draft has us taking Dodd the DE from Clemson... Had anyone heard of him before the game Monday night?
this was his first year starting had only played 2 years of fb in hs, and then went to hargreaves. he shocked everyone all year. he dominated the LE spot, great against the run and is pretty solid rushing the passer
Idk if Bama's RT is that bad or Dodd is that good but he owned him that entire game. Just dominated him.
Bama's RT is horrible. Dodd has nice stats but I wouldn't touch him in the first. As to OJ Howard, he can be a Jordan Reed type but he shouldn't be taken in the first two rounds.
This Dodd isn't a first round talent. I'd grab him 3-4th if I were a GM. Plus he's like 25 or 26 so his days are limited.
There are a lot of good OL and front 7 guys this year. The Falcons could really clean up. Shaq Lawson, Reed, Robinson, any of the top 3 OTs. I would be happy with any of them.
Dodd was second in the nation in TFL. He's pretty good but I see him as more of a 2nd round guy. Will be interested to see how he does at the combine.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...ng-restructure-contract-help-baltimore-ravens Matt Ryan needs to step up
So last years draft was 1. Beasley -- needs to be more impactful 2. Jalen Collins who did nothing 3. Coleman -- Injured on and off 4. Hardy -- banged up, not much production Man I hate us sometimes
1) hardy and Coleman both showed potential 2) you arbitrarily stopped before Grady Jarrett who was our best DT
Looks like this is a strong by draft for LB and weak for TE. I'd try to find a Couple in 2-4 round range depending on who falls. Look for a te in free agency. Guys like ben watson, Dwayne Allen, Mercedes lewis, Ladarius green, g. Celek are Ufa. None are great but doesn't look like great options in draft either.
Meh I think it's too early to call that draft a bust. I still think all of those players have potential to get better. We were all pretty damn high on it at the time, with the exception of the people that wanted gurley
this is a weird move Raheem Morris to passing game coordinator http://www.thefalcoholic.com/2016/1...ng-wide-receivers-for-the-falcons-in-arguably
I've seen two today, #1 had us taking Jaylon Smith(pls god) and #2 had us taking R Ragland. Either one would be great to me.
I want someone to anchor the interior of the DL or a sideline to sideline LB who can cover and pass rush the A & B gaps off the blitz. We'll likely take a Big10 WR though with our first pick.
yeah that win vs. Carolina sure showed them! we'd be picking 12th or 13th without it. ragland would be great pick there
Better get that Braxton Miller jersey pre-ordered. Only TD would draft a guy who played the position for one year in the first round.
TD is trying to figure out how to package up picks to trade up and get a marginally effective skill player
I mean I'm not anti what he did with Julio, because it's one of like 3 picks he's made that worked out, but there is no one in this draft worth trading up for. Just take Ragland and call it a day. Although if jaylon smith really does fall that would be pretty cool
The real genius of TD will be when he drafts a guard from Purdue in the 2nd, a DB from Kansas in the 3rd and a 1-AA pass rusher in the 4th. The guard will play out of necessity because Levitre will die, the safety will play special teams and the DE will get put on the practice squad. This is TDs playbook
Kept that mother fucker but released Justin Durant. Hard not to turn on Quinn. I'm also not sure what to do about Matt Ryan throwing so many INT's last season. Is that him or Shanahan? I tuned them all out around halfway through the collapse.
