I've never seen so many players/coaches ask for cards at every moment... but then again, he seems to be giving them out like candy, so they might as well ask.
I don't agree with either the 2nd yellow or the straight red (so, either ejection really) but this guy is actually entertaining as fuck the way he manages all of his player/coach interactions and his super smug demeanor.
lol not watching w/ audio but twitter claims Ali Wagner was just blaming the pitch for all the tackles
Yeah, she said something about the field being really narrow causing no space and too many tackles or some dumb shit like that.
Vidal was kinda lucky his teammate put his arm all over Messi imo, since he totally tripped Messi and is carrying a yellow
Aly Wagner @alywagner 19m19 minutes ago Yes people. Small field means more opportunity to pressure, more opportunity for tackles and ultimately more fouls and cards. #ARGvCHI
Wasn't hard to spot him leading River to the Libertadores title. Crazy though that no other team went for him at the price Atletico paid
This is funny, because I generally kind of like Ali and appreciate that she has "tactical" things to say (whereas Alexi is all emotional garbage) but in this case it's definitely working against her.
Most soccer stadiums have wider fields than a lot of US football stadiums allow for, places like Stoke being the exception. Or at least thats what I think is the case.
