How can you guys call yourselves men when your favorite clubs serve fucking tea and pie at matches? God, I hate England.
I'd like to see what it costs away fans to attend matches against English clubs in the long-run. Liverpool matches probably cost tens of thousands in medical and funeral expenses.
no alcohol consumption during the match. 2 hour window before and an hour after at any place with any view of the pitch. Most clubs get around with the "bar" area that does not have a view of the pitch.
As NK said, it's really restricted where and when you can drink in the stadium but on average it's much more reasonably priced to have a beer there than at American sporting events. Probably no more than getting a beer at a pub around the stadium. Pies.
QPR isnt that surprising, they are located in a pretty wealthy part of London. Most places in Shepherds Bush cost around 700 pounds a week to rent.
I am confused that we do not have pie or tea prices up. I guess we are serving hummus or falafel and water.
They did show them on tv last year and they did look very good. QPR is getting a lot of heat this summer about the cost of match tickets especially for away fans.
I thought you were allowed to drink beer, just not in the stands. guy I work with goes over there all the time and goes to matches and was complaining about how they had to stay in the concourses to drink...
Yeah in "special" areas they can drink I believe. Still trying to track down the official wording on it.
Chelsea is literally a stones throw from Chelsea & Kensington, which I'd imagine is just as wealthy, if not more, as Shepherds Bush and our ticket prices are pretty reasonable given the success of the club and the fact that Stamford Bridge isn't very large.
It's also in pounds and not in dollars, but in relation to college football prices it is definitely much cheaper.
im pretty sure touting (scalping) is much more criminalized over there (not that it stops it) than over here. also kids (<16) and old people get different price tickets (at least at United games)
Yeah there are youth and senior citizen prices for most clubs. In cost related news; City has lowered the price of beer by 20 pence.
