I must be retarded because I spent probably two hours trying to load Kodi onto my Fire TV Stick this weekend with no success. Tried several tutorial videos in addition to what's been posted itt
NFL2Go still works great if you want to deal with bitcoin. I'm not sure it's open right now but says it should be again soon.
Don't know if I ever posted this but it looks interesting. http://koditips.com/nfl-on-kodi-sportsaccess-hd-paid-buffer-free/ That says they only take bitcoin but when I looked at their signup page there was an option for Stripe (CC) payment.
spent all afternoon putting a new mainboard in my tv, just bought a fire stick. will probably start getting things set up after the falcons game
hah yeah i found that as soon as i posted that i got it going but its not pulling apps like netflix, idk ill dick around with the settings
Just realized I can't stream SEC Network with the account I'm using. Anyone willing to help me watch Kentucky beat Florida's ass for the first time in 3 decades... Likely causing me to break shit around the house & possibly kick the neighbors cat?

anyone else that does sling on their xbox1 - is there a different way to do the guide? It's fucking terrible. I have tried every button on the controller and there's not even a button that directly pulls up the guide is there? You have to press A then go to the far right and select Mini Guide. That's annoying as shit. Is the app better on any other devices? I don't mind buying a fire stick or roku stick if it will make the experience more pleasant And I've only had it for a few days but are the channels live with what's on their normal cable station? A couple of the channels don't appear that way
Recently moved and I'm doing cable free. I have a Roku on each TV. I also bought the Winegard Amplified Antenna but it gets shit reception at every tv. The signal strength according to those websites is good. Not sure of the issue. The guys that mounted my TVs had the antenna behind the tv so it couldn't be seen. I don't watch too much television. I have my FIL's Verizon username and password so I've got Watch ESPN. What other channels you recommend for sports? I'm also considering paying for an extra cable box at my in laws and getting a sling box and just attaching it to it. Also, any word on when Roku is getting HBO Now? It seems to be on every other device besides Roku.
Is Stripe safe? Does it provide a buffer between the site and me? I don't want some Cossacks having my cc info.
Never used it personally but it seems legit. It's like PayPal and is used on a lot of ecommerce sites. If you have concerns about either site, you could just do bitcoin.
Any if you have any ideas on how I could record the Clemson game on ABC this week if I use an HD antenna? Trying not to spend a ton of money to do so, so the cheapest idea would be awesome. Anyone started a game on espn3/watch espn in the middle of it? Were you given an option to start from the beginning or can you even do that?
You pick up a game at any point on WatchESPN. If you start watching in the when the game is in the second quarter - that's when the stream will start at. No clue how to record off an antenna, but WatchESPN will have a replay of the game available for a week after the game.
Anyone with Kodi got any cool add-ons they've been trying out lately? Sportsdevil was being a bitch for a while, but I uninstalled the repo version I had and downloaded a new updated one, works pretty well again for me now. Genesis is still rock solid. I was fucking around with an add-on called IPTV for a while: they have a fuckton of free channels, but I guess it's technically a paid service that provides users with certain codes each week/month to access. Too much of a pain in the ass to find the codes and tweak settings that often so I gave up on it. Any soccer fans out there should get the Football Today add-on. They have replays of a lot of major International and Club games, but they also pull in highlight vids of those games as well.
You can get a cheap PVR like this one --> http://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-HW...cs&ie=UTF8&qid=1446739810&sr=1-1&keywords=pvr Just set it up with a thumb drive and you can store as much as the thumb drive can hold.
Haven't really looked because I have ST now. But I'm pretty sure there are stable streams on a few of the streaming sites. There's usually an HD one on Zunox.hk and vipbox.tv, probably atdhe.tv and firstrow as well. All these are on SportsDevil if you have Kodi. The ones in the repos aren't always updated because it's not in any repo 'officially'. The guy updates the addon pretty regularly, sometimes every couple weeks to stay on top of issues and dead streams. Sometimes having a repo with SD in it will even overwrite your new version with it's outdated one, so it's best to manually install. Not sure why he doesn't put it in a repo, but you have to monitor it to look for new updates.
Yeah - all those great HD NFL VLC streams are down except the one for NFL NET. However, you can on the nflstreams reddit you can find HD streams for anything fox broadcasts. So pretty much just NFC games.
Great. Thanks guys. I use the NFL Net on my Ipad while I work on the weekends, but wanted to find an easy RZ stream that works with IOS. Will do some more digging on those sites White Tajh Boyd mentioned.
How difficult is it to jailbreak the Amazon Fire stick? I have watched a few videos on Youtube and it seems fairly simple but would it just be better to buy one off ebay that's already set up?
Basically opens up instant streaming of any movie / tv you can think of through various sources. There is a way to stream all sporting events also but I've never bothered with it
Beware comcast and kodi users http://cordcuttersnews.com/comcast-starts-issuing-copyright-infringement-notices-to-kodi-users/
By KEACH HAGEY Dec. 10, 2015 6:00 a.m. ET 82 COMMENTS The media industry may be in for a rude awakening. Television companies have been trying to reassure investors lately that the modest decline in pay-TV subscribers they’ve seen over the past year will continue at the same manageable pace. But new data out Thursday from eMarketer shows that cord-cutting is accelerating, driven by a rapidly expanding panoply of digital video services. The number of pay-TV households will fall at an accelerating rate for at least the next four years, reaching a 1.4% decline in 2019, eMarketer estimates. By that year, eMarketer estimates that almost 23% of U.S. households won’t pay for traditional TV. ENLARGE PHOTO: THE WALL STREET JOURNAL Overall, the total number of households that don't subscribe to pay-TV—a combination of cord-cutters and the far more common “cord-nevers” who had never signed up in the first place—will hit 20.8 million by the end of 2015, according to eMarketer, or about 17% of U.S. households. “This year, the number of digital video services expanded at a faster pace than ever before,” said eMarketer’s senior analyst Paul Verna in a statement. “In addition to standalone offerings from the likes of HBO, there are new digital bundles that include many of the channels consumers could only have received with cable and satellite subscriptions in the past. This widespread availability of digital content makes cord-cutting a viable option for a growing segment of the viewing population.”
Samesies. I have a smartTV that has hulu and netflix. Do I also need a chromecast/roku/slingbox? Or just personal preference? Have a digital antenna for ABC/CBS/Fox/NBC. Also, the internet in my living room, where the TV is, is awful. Need to fix that first
It depends on what other services you want and if your tv can get them. If all you want is Netflix and Hulu you should be good.
my guess is on Sling you get what is on HBO right now whereas HBO Now provides you with a catalog of everything HBO shows or has showed.
I bought my parents a firestick and today I finally convinced them of the value. Bad weather in the area and the local weather man jumps on tv and I said well go to your firestick and the weatherman can't get in our way there. We have missed the inability to rewind on the watchespn app. I'd miss that if I ever cut the cord.
Mom got me a Roku 4 for Christmas. Loving it so far and am well on my way to cord cutting. The biggest hindrance however is the HD antenna, specifically setting it up. Any tips? I'm not handy at all, so the idea of running cord and wires from the roof or attic to where my TV is sounds more difficult than quantum physics.
The reason i ask is because there's a hub somewhere in your home that distributes the signal from the cable coming into the house, to your tvs. I just plugged my OTA ant into that.
