Well, if firstrow ever doesnt work out, http://wiziwig.to/ is the best sports stream site imo. Use it all the time on my laptop
Thanks. So far so good I have been able to get cardinals this summer and blues games during the playoff "run".
Ok so we're cutting the cable. What's the best way to get CBS, NBC, and ABC for college football? Just an HD antenna or go to someone else's house?
what are you asking? would I rather have those channels at my house for a one time fee of 20 bucks or constantly go to a friend's house?
I'm asking what is the best way to get the basic channels. Is there just an HD antenna, box, etc. or is that not feasible?
HD antennas apparently work great just about anywhere. I live in the foothills of mountains so apparently it's a little tougher for me to get mine to work. But pretty much everyone else itt has had good experiences with their antennas. I'm gonna have to go get a decently expensive one to put in my attic or on my roof
HD antenna will get you abc, nbc, cbs, and fox in high def probably. You buy it for 20-30 bucks and the channels come in for free through the air.
Spoiler Before (plugged in under TV)- After (cords through wall and into the closet directly behind)-
Zach Barnett @zach_barnett 22s22 seconds ago Disney CEO Bob Iger said Monday ESPN could start selling subs straight to sports fans http://footballscoop.com/news/disney-ceo-says-espn-could-be-sold-directly-to-sports-fans/…
I live right in the heart of Atlanta and use this "HD" antenna from Amazon and don't get shit except for NBC and a PBS channel. I live on the 5th floor (top floor) of a condo building and all these websites say I should be swimming in free HD network channels. I've tried moving my antenna around and still don't get shit. Should I upgrade my antenna?
I bought the same one - live in Midtown - and get like 60 channels. You sure you installed it correctly?
I have the same problem. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my building because I have trouble listening to the radio in here too. I tried 3 different antennas after the one I used in my old house didn't work in my new apartment. Might be your issue as well. I eventually settled for paying like $3 a month for the basic channels through Time Warner.
I'm pretty sure. I've re-installed it 3 times now and still can't get anything. Since it works for you I'm going to try again. We probably live no more than 5 miles from each other, so that gives me hope.
I'm pretty sure, will try again this weekend. It's been a while since I searched but I remember it asking me some questions prior to the search, I'll try different variations until I find something that works.
Anyone have any experience with Kodi and USTVnow? This seems like a viable option if my leaf doesn't work out. I have the digital tuner for the xbox one which is awesome but not sure if its going to work well since my only window is in the apt courtyard and not sure if its going to block signal from being surrounded by apartment (I'm on the first floor).
Unless you live in a faraday cage, no. Make sure when you do a channel scan your tv is set to antenna (or "air" depending on your tv menu) and noe cable, etc. in the middle of a city like Atlanta you ought to be able to use a damn wire coat hanger and pick up network tv.
Is there a way to stream and /or dvr cable shows? I only watch the black list, but I don't want to watch it when it comes on.
what floor are you on? tbh it shouldnt matter given where you live, but im on the 11th of my building. You should easily be getting WSB, WTBS, and CBS as they broadcast in midtown. NBC is in buckhead. Most of the rest is a crap ton of evangelical christian channels and spanish language stuff. HD antenna should also be getting FM Radio Broadcasts. Has to be a TV issue. Make sure your settings are correct. If you're on a low-level floor put the antenna close to a window. And also make sure every time you move it, to re-do the channel scan on your TV.
On the 5th floor of 5 in my building. I'm going to try again when I get back into town in 10 days. What are these TV settings you speak of? I have a Samsung smart TV, if that helps. I'll search under antenna only now per NilesIrish
So I got the leaf Metro (25 miles) and its sucking balls. The leaf website says I should be picking up 55 channels but im only get 25 and they're all hispanic. I think its because my only windows face the apartment courtyard and im on the first floor of a 7 floor building. I only want the antenna for ABC and CBS for football games. I did find however ustvnow (https://www.ustvnow.com/) has all these channels for free and can be installed on a firestick. Anyone got any advice?
Can anyone who has successfully found a way to get all the channels / live sports they want post how much they are actually paying / saving a month?
I was paying $225/month I'm now paying $82.15 including Netflix, Hulu & Prime for the year... Savings of about $144/month & $1700/year
Quick question about the Amazon Fire Stick, my brothers. Does it operate similar to a Roku, in that after an episode ends, you have to select the next episode before it plays? Or is it similar to Chromecast, in that it continues to the next episode until asking "Are You There?" after 4/5 episodes?
was paying $190/mo for directtv + at&t internet. now pay $70/mo for internet that's fiber instead of dsl. had netflix/prime subscriptions before dropping cable so not gonna factor those in
At the rate you are going, I'll have saved a grand before you're done asking questions & cut the cord
I cut the chord last month, dude. Not missing it all but still haven't pulled the trigger on an Apple TV or Fire Stick (already had a Chromecast).
$200 a month? What the fuck kind of subscriptions/packages did you guys have? I pay $97 for 2 boxes (1 dvr) and 90mbs internet.
