Anyone that is serious about buff tickets let me know. Can't get a ton but can definitely get a few per game

I'll be out of town for Oregon, but buffs is going to be in town and using my ticket for that game. Hey ARCO I live in Berkeley also. Did you go to CU Law? I might know you. It seems like you're familiar with most places, so I'm sure you've been to De Steeg Brewing. That place is awesome if anyone else wants to take the recommendation and finds themselves near the Tennyson area. Just walk into the alley and find the entrance back there. Other recommendations for Tennyson Street: Hops & Pie (great pizza and beer, duh; $2 craft cans every Wednesday) DJ's Berkeley Cafe (amazing breakfast) Brazen (awesome environment with great food and drinks and a limited kitchen menu open late night until 2am closing; solid place for date night) Ziggie's (dive bar with live music 7 nights/week and $1 PBR drafts) Other places
I do and I did go to CU law. PM me. I also agree with everything you said. De Steeg is fantastic, and all the other recommendations are great as well.
I'll be heading to Denver in two weeks for work, flying in the 14th and flying out the 19th. Really the only thing I know I want to do is go to Crooked Stave Brewery. Also want to hit Avery but I don't know if I want to drive what google maps tells me is about an hour. What are some must hits while I'm there?
Where you gonna be staying/working while in town? Might be able to give you some specific suggestions depending on the area you'll be around the most.
Our meetings will be in the Hyatt near the airport so we're staying near there for the first few nights, then moving a little closer to downtown, Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Denver.
Man, the airport is so far from everything. I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Denver on my drive out here the night before moving into my apartment. Just be aware that there are two Doubletree by Hilton Hotels like a block or two away from each other in that area. Easy to get it mixed up. But there isn't a ton around those hotels, so driving/Ubering further west is going to be your best option. I'm going to assume lunches are out of the question with you being that close to the airport, so I'll go with dinner/drinking spots for the evening. One place that will be close to that Doubletree is Station 26 Brewing. Haven't been, but have heard some good stuff and have had one of their beers before. Your closest areas are going to be RiNo (River North), Five Points/Curtis Park, City Park, Uptown, Park Hill, Congress Park, and along part of Colfax. Acorn - located in the same building (The Source) as Crooked Stave. Regarded as one of the better restaurants in town. Comida - also located in The Source; solid place for tacos. I believe it used to be a former food truck. Cart Driver - small little pizza place built out of a shipping container. Great Neapolitan style pizzas. Work & Class - next to Cart Driver. They do like a combo of Southern and Latin American style food. Steuben's - a Denver staple; a retro diner but with modern twists on the food. I usually try and take friends there any time they are in town. Ace Eat Serve - next to Steuben's and offers Asian fusion type food, they have a large outdoor patio and ping pong Dos Santos - next Mexican restaurant in town. It's getting a ton of hype and I'm actually planning to try it in the next couple days. Park & Co - Laid back spot for elevated bar food (think sandwiches, burgers, etc) and large drink selection. Dunbar Kitchen & Tap - Former barbershop turned pub with bar food and drinks TAG Burger Bar - cool spot for some creative burgers and they have beer. Trattoria Stella - Italian place along Colfax The Uber Sausage - Great place along Colfax for sandwiches Chop Shop Urban Eatery - They kind of do a gourmet take on salads, sandwiches, and also offer some solid dinner entrees. Now as for the breweries / places to drink: Crooked Stave River North Brewery Epic Brewing Ratio Beerworks Spangalang Brewing First Draft Pour House All of those are generally within like 6 blocks of each other. Spangalang is a bit of an outlier, but I really enjoy their beers.
I've really been looking forward to trying Dos Santos. I walk by it basically every day and have been waiting for them to get shit done and get open.
Sounds like I have to either stay close to the hotel we are meeting at and travel downtown or vis a versa. I'll talk to my team but I doubt we change hotels... Long drive from the airport to downtown? Lots of traffic?
Airport to downtown is gonna be like a 30-35 minute drive without any traffic so if you can not stay out there then don't.
or postpone your trip til next April and stay at the Westin out there and ride the light rail into town...
it's my favorite in denver. beer braised brisket with a blackberry sauce. it's amazing. and the beer selection is insane!!
Also Finn's Manor has officially opened. Looks legit http://denver.eater.com/2015/9/2/9219173/finns-manor-rino-open#4819162 EDIT: Stopped in there Thursday night. Very cool place. Think it's going to do very well. Lots of outdoor seating and a few food truck type setups in the back.
Finally got to Acorn today for lunch and also stopped at Crooked Stave. That burger at Acorn is amazing. Not to mention the tater tots. Goddamn.
Hops and Pie is the best. My brother in law just got hired there as the late night pizza cook. Pretty pumped
so I am moving to Denver next summer for a 10 week internship.... May to July... so I need an affordable-ish place... to live... preferably furnished... and by myself if possible. I could handle a studio. willing to take the train to work (I'll be working right in downtown near both stadiums) I know it is far out, but what are my options?
I doubt you can get anything this far out. Rent around here is out of control. It just goes up and up and up month after month. No one will be able to contract you right now.
I am aware I cannot get anything far in advance just wondering where I can look when the time comes.... what suburbs or areas of town and what not...
If your plan is to take the train, here is a light rail map. http://www.rtd-denver.com/LightRail_Map.shtml
thanks as it gets closer, I'll look for a sweet sublet situation... people are often desperate with that stuff
Living somewhere near the Louisiana/Pearl, University, or Colorado light rail stops you may be able to find some better pricing...just guessing. But that area is also pretty good. Close to Denver U campus and there are some solid neighborhoods overall. But like it has been mentioned, rent keeps climbing. Definitely could be worth looking on Craigslist as the time gets closer. May be able to find a deal through a private rental.
if you're willing to ride the light rail daily, I'd look along the new West line. Maybe even all the way out in Golden.
thanks I wanna enjoy my time as much as possible so I don't want to be too secluded, but beggars can't be choosers
What are some of y'all's favorite places to fish nearby? I took a fly fishing class in early August, and so far I've been to Bear Creek, Clear Creek, and South Boulder Creek. Love being able to leave work and put in a couple hours on the water.
