The Cards will be starting Leinart know, so there is no reason that the 9ers shouldn't win the division this year, barring injuries. As disappointing as it was not to take Dez or Clausen with the second pick in the first round, I think Iupati and Davis will prove to be a great picks for years to come. It all starts up front.

Kind of hard to have an offense worth a damn when your only reliable threat is the running back and maybe, sometimes the tight end. Now that Davis is legit, along with Crabtree, who's a man, Ginn will add another demension by stretching the field. I am preparing myself for a dropped TD or 2 from him, though. Plus, Josh Morgan is pretty solid, too.

I'm still skeptical of him being the answer, but it appears that Singletary certainly believes he can get the job done. This is definitely the most talented the 9ers have been since Smith was drafted; we'll see what happens.

Don't make mistakes and we should play our way into the playoffs. I think Seattle is still a year or two away, the Rams are years away and I think the Cardinals and us will battle it out.

Re: Crabs and VD: The official 2010 San Francisco 49ers thread Haven't been truly optimistic about a season since Garcia and TO were on the squad. I think we'll take the West for sure. The team has been built the right way, and the addition of the two first rounders on the OL, Mays, and Ginn will be huge. I've also heard great things about Navarro Bowman, and I'm personally pretty stoked to have Anthony Dixon on the team. I hope Dixon can lessen the load on Gore. It doesn't matter if Ginn's hands are suspect. He will be accounted for by opposing DCs, and he will open up things for Crabtree, VD, Morgan, and Gore. Count me as someone who is optimistic about Smith under center. He has always been described as someone who needed to be able to know an offense inside and out, and this is his first opportunity to do that. Our OC says Smith barely knew anything about the offense last season compared to now, and he still had a 80+ QB rating with a shitty line and a baby Crabtree and no Ginn. I wish we'd go ahead and resign Lawson. I'm not saying you have to break the bank, but Lawson is a solid starter. He's not an elite passrusher, but he does a very good job in run support and coverage. I like his versatility.
