Yea most agencies are very serious these days about who they adopt to. Which is great for the dogs. Hell I had to sign a contact to adopt mine.
RE Dog collars - I have a couple of these. I like the personalization because I dont need a dog tag that clanks around all the time
Anyone ever bought pet insurance? dblplay1212 I thought you mentioned it before? It's just something i've thought about with how easy greyhounds can have the skin broken or break their tail from wagging it against a wall or something.
wes tegg of course this awesome looking guy shows up like 2 days after I adopt Nymeria. I can't do two dogs right now though.
petsurance is really smart move. Thankfully (knock on wood) Ive never really had to use it, so I cant really say how good mine is. I got mine through Trupanion. I think it's around 35 bucks a month
I ended up with Petplan. Some of them you can google around to find discounts and codes before signing up for the policy.
Apparently I got my application in a little too late. Someone is visiting the pup this weekend. I'm on deck. Hopefully the other people bail or something.
As kaiser's hair is growing back in, there's a lot more white to it than expected. I'm thinking he's about 7-8. He's a spry old fella, though. He's tried to hump Layla about five times now.
Dont stress it. My first two GSD choices fell through and I don't think it could have worked out any better. Nymeria is perfect.
I'm also on team two dogs, only regret it have was getting another young puppy and the training and loss of sleep again sucked but now she's older I enjoy it
Been a lot of fun having 2 pooches, but my Bully can definitely be a dick to her at times and gets jealous. I understand, he's been only dog for 6 years, but can't be having that stuff, I've had to crawl up his ass multiple times a day, he's accepting her more each day though. BTW If anyone is looking for a GSD in the NW, let me know. I'm heavily involved with a GSD rescue out here, which is where my new girl came from.
Someone is happy that I decided to work from home today. Also team two dogs, will be acquiring my 2nd by the end of the year.
My little brat was laying up under the recliner yesterday evening while we were waiting on my wife to finish getting ready for dinner I clicked the leg rest down and apparently popped her pretty good, she yelped and didnt want to hardly walk and acted like her leg or tail or something was broken. I pick her up and she yelps yelps yelps so loud. Pet her and console her till she calms down, start moving limbs and tail to see which one hurts. Well none seemed to trigger her, so I pick her up and she starts yelping again, so I lay her in her spot on the couch. She lays there stiff as can be, breathing hard. I go to tell my wife I think we may need to call the vet. Well my cell was in the truck, so I go back past her still stiff on the couch to go out to the truck and get my cell. As soon as that door cracked open, she popped up and ran over to go outside with me. Not even a hint of a limp or anything wrong. I think she is learning from her mom.
I have not had one so others can answer with more experience, but I'm pretty sure it's a lot. They're a hyperactive breed.
Thanks. That was mine, too. I'd hate to get one and it be miserable with our 45 minutes of walks per day.
We have an aussiedoodle and she needs a ton of exercise. She's super hyper. My gf takes her to the dog park every day for an hour or so and just lets her run around. She can also be really lazy too though.
My Toby and my uncles Radar (chocolate labs, and pretty much husband and wife) used to do that exact same thing As Toby got older, she would let him (5 years younger) do the hard work and wait at the bank until he got out of the water when she would take it from him and on up to me
12 week old Portuguese Water Dog and 11 year old Black Russian Terrier. The BRT has a degenerative spinal condition, but is still showing the puppy who's boss. Had to get a new puppy before we lose our old girl. I'll be surprised if she makes it through the summer.
Going to the beach tomorrow, boarding the dogs for a few days. They love it but it still sucks. I already miss them
