All are pretty bad or at least incredibly situational. I'm still going with Jakiro, not sure how you could argue otherwise.
Because legion commander's aghs actually makes the skill worse. A trivial improvement is still better than that.
How could upping AoE, DPS and duration possibly be the worst aghs in the game? Just a reminder that LC aghs makes the opponent literally impervious to all damage sources on your team other than the LC. It's fucking stupid.
I don't think Phoenix aghs is bad at all. I have a friend who plays a shitload of Phoenix with a 58% win rate and he gets it every game. It's a risky item, but you can bring a teammate from the brink of death to full HP.
There's probably a skill gap issue here. In my shitty level of mmr I've seen about 5 people get it and it's resulted in basically a game losing teamfight every time.
Today in NA qualifiers I saw the most cancerous strat I've ever seen. You need a Kunkka and a Tinker. Once Kunkka gets level 4 X he goes to the fountain and stays there. Every time Tinker returns to fountain, Kunkka casts X on him so that if he gets ganked and might die, you immediately recall Tinker. Thankfully they were not rewarded with a win for this bullshit.
We should 5 man the level 1 rosh and push all mid and take racks/towers at 6 minutes strat. and if we fail then we all feed and lose at 10 minutes. New Riki post patch + tranqs = pub cancer in garbage tier, love it.
WTF and Fails of the week are usually hilarious. Also: Elder Titan post patch now at 60% win rate in <2.5k brackets, and even 57% in 5k+ bracket.
-Team needs a hard carry for last pick -Picks PA against team of which every hero has a stun -Doesn't buy BKB - -25 mmr
I find slacks funny in moderate increments. During ESL Manilla they actually had a great setup with Tobi, Purge and him, so the other 2 did a normal cast and he just randomly threw in jokes/memes, but it was in small amounts so it worked well.
Which one of you fine gentlemen was it that said they would help me when I was ready to build myself a new PC?
Goodness I love Riki in pubs. Even with my fucking horrible team ( miles can confirm), I can always managed a positive KD ratio and usually control mid game with ganks.
Thinking about how to improve omni's laning, what about early basi and raindrops? I'm really going away from soul ring as it delays arcanes too much. Both should help you trade better in lane (magic absorb and armor, coupled with great mana regen.) Basi builds into your vlads.
I love basi/late game vlads on omni, but obviously only if no one else on your team is building it. Otherwise a waste. Raindrops interesting idea
Ehh I'm not sure. Raindrops are situationally very good, but I don't see the point if you're laning against a void or slardar who is only going to have physical damage. And soul ring only costs 50 gold more than basi + raindrops. Soul ring works as a decent farm accelerator on omni too, since you can purify into creep waves or neutral camps a lot more often. I think soul ring into arcane boots and then on from there is still the way to go, but I'm very old fashioned. If you're doing lane support, OOV and wind lace would be dope AF on him starting out.
Fair points. Here's my thought on raindrops: it's all the mana regen from vlads for 225g. The longer you can hold it the more value you get. The same value points hood true for basi since it builds into a natural item. Taking a step back this predicated on being forced to play omni where he doesn't belong, as a 5.
If this is a poverty omni, I think soul ring into arcanes becomes even more of a must. You need mana EXACTLY WHEN YOU NEED IT because you aren't going to be able to effect team fights through your items, and a burst regen item (which still passively boosts mana regen by 50%) becomes more important than a flat regen increase item.
Maybe I'm just averse to the idea of an item that doesn't build into anything I'd use on omni. Farming accelerant is really the sell for soul ring. With a 30s cool down, I'd argue you're not necessarily able to have mana "when you need it." It's not as though you're going to have two uses in an engagement.
