I love Children of Children simply for "I was ridin on my mother's hip, she was shorter than the corn...and all the years I took from her just by being born." damn
Listened to that new album today...wasn't paying very close attention...didn't like the first 4-5 songs but it got much better
Did you get the joke where I referred to The Deeper In as having the greatest "chub-factor" of any DBT song?
Negative...my brain is fried...I thought you might of been ignorant to the origins of the song and were going along with the "mood setting" panty wetting opinion of the song in the previous post...first and last time I doubt your DBT knowledge....
Anyone itt want to discuss All Your Favorite Bands? It's a relatively short album but man, is it good.
The Deeper In is great Another of my favorites is Bulldozers and Dirt I like DBT songs about inappropriate sexual relationships
The lyrics, as usual, are on point. But I really enjoy the extended solos/bridges more than anything. It's like an album full of Peace in the Valley.
really like that Taylor doesnt stop writing songs. He said in an interview that he already has 7 songs written for the next album
I didn't even realize that they played Right on Time and To Be Completely Honest at Shaky Knees last year. I just assumed they were deep cuts or Middle Brother songs I hadn't heard. Goldsmith's songwriting is a close second to what Isbell is doing right now. His stories are definitely less character driven but he has an uncanny ability to invoke strong emotion while simultaneously keeping it light.

Unsure if it fits here, but it sounds a lot like some phosphorescent: https://timmytheteeth.bandcamp.com/
not sure I've posted this band before - but I think they fit in here and are one of my favorites. love every album they've ever done. this is from their latest which came out a year ago.
Anyone else gonna be at the DBT show in Greensboro? I'm a fan of the venue, but God, Greensboro is just the worst.

As Dawes biggest fan, I'm glad to see people are giving All Your Favorite Bands some due love. The extended bridges are so amazing on this album.
New Lucero album is streaming today on Paste. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/09/album-stream-lucero-all-a-man-should-do.html
I'm on listen #3 and it's definitely grown on me each time through. It's very laid back, which I'm sure will turn some people off, but I'm fine with it. Can't You Hear Them Howl is going to be a monster live track with the horns.
Ryan Adams releases his version of 1989 on Monday - not gonna lie, I'm fucking pumped about it Bad Blood here: http://www.stereogum.com/1831515/ryan-adams-bad-blood-taylor-swift-cover/mp3s/
