What's the criteria for purchased players not counting as academy players? If they made a first team appearance with their old club?
That's what they have http://www.skysports.com/football/n...e-most-youth-academy-graduates-in-their-squad
Yeah I don't understand the graphic. Ben Davies and Jazz Richards both played for Swansea as youths prior to playing for the senior club.
Good read on Leicester City. Sorry, I didn't have time this morning to play with the format and post here. I had no idea where Vardy or Mahrez came from. http://www.si.com/thecauldron/2015/...mahrez-leicester-city-surprise-premier-league
Sad. Was on the team when I became a Sunderland fan. 32 is way too young. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/nov/12/marton-fulop-dies-cancer-sunderland

They've been terrible to watch for years now. Even if you respect the historical element of the club it'd probably be best for them to regroup in the Championship for a season or two.
I have a huge soft spot for Villa. They were awesome when they had Milner, Barry, Young, Carew, Agbonlahor was actually good; I'd be sad if they got relegated.
Having never dropped from the Premier League it would be a pretty big deal, but Villa have been a blight on the league the past few seasons so it is about time they got a reality check.
Yeah whatever jags fan, but this villa team is a stone they will sink hard. Sunderland will be ok if they go down, if we see Villa go down I'm not sure we see them anytime soon ala Wolves (blessings and prayers upon them)
Rumor is that Falcao is going to Valencia in January. So his Chelsea career pretty much went exactly the way everyone thought it would.

Going to be a scrambly Monday night trying to watch the recording of the Sunderland game before Bruins-Leafs.
Every fucking sunday. Every fucking Sunday. Even though Spurs play in fucking azerbaijan on Thursday, gotta play on Sunday. Fuck you premier league.
Yeah we should be playing Saturday on any week in which we don't follow a Europa match because then it is mandatory. Fucking bullshit.
lol oh holy fuck, while on Newsnow doing my daily football perusing I stumbled upon this article on an event at the London Zoo where people streak for tigers. This just seems like an absurd, yet enjoyable, event. Soccer board meet up for next year? This picture pretty much sums it up. Some decent lasses, and this guy. NSFW. Spoiler http://www.london24.com/entertainme...d_at_london_zoo_s_streak_for_tigers_1_4142454
zeberdee did you see that Josh Harris bought part of Crystal Palace because he felt like it. Pretty boss move imo
It's amazing how little LVG has been called out for the amount of money he's spent and how shitty United is. Has he made 1 good signing?
This. It's ridiculous the amount of money they've spent in the past 2 years and has hit on MAYBE one (Marital) and he was a overpriced teenager.
Martial is a fantastic talent but does he have a goal or assist since his first couple weeks? Wouldn't call him a hit at this point with his price tag.
I don't think United as a team had a goal or assist for a solid month. Martial clearly is a huge talent but like you said but that price tag was mind boggling for a teenager. Could have gotten a more proven goal scorer in his prime for that.
I'm trying to think of something more absurd than yellow card accumulation suspensions, having a hard time. Lamela will miss the West Ham match due to it.
Denying a goal scoring opportunity = a red card, penalty, and suspension. Any game officiated by Mike Dean or Anthony Taylor I would say both of those are far more absurd than your current quandary
The price tag on Martial is ridiculous but his lack of production lately is more of an indictment on the rest of the team than on Martial himself imo. He's basically the only player in the attack with any sort of pace and creativity. The biggest problem is LvG refusing to sit Rooney, which either keeps Ander Herrera on the bench or forces Martial out to the wing (he played their most of the time with Monaco so that's not that big of deal). When Rooney is on the field there are at least 1-2 guys not playing in their natural position. Basically we are slow and uncreative, which everyone already knows.
Rooney is your Kobe Bryant it seems. He looked pretty solid with England but then again he was playing alongside top talent like Kane, Alli, and Dier.
such a tale of two halves. your first line is spot on and perfect. then you get all silly in the second.
Herrera, Blind, Shaw, and Rojo have all done well I think. Maybe argue against Shaw due to his first season, but he was playing really well this year before going down. Think it's still pretty early to think about making a judgment for this year's signings.
