Guys, you're wasting your time. I have it on good authority that Iron Mickey's love of the movie Twin Town has lead him to take his fandom to Swansea.
I'm just worried seeing all the other bottom half teams strengthening with some nice signings while you guys are doing jack. Your story is one of the best in the sport, and I've always pulled for you when not playing Tottenham. I'm just scared you could be in a relegation scrap if you don't pull it together, which would be very disappointing after your consistent improvement in the league before last season.
I have no idea what they are doing. Usually, they make moves early in the window. I can only blame the ownership transition and Euro for delay. We have a rumored interest in Chadli if that excites you.
Yeah I read about that this morning. I kind of like Chadli, he knows how to find the back of the net. We will need depth like that this season but he may want to be a starter somewhere else, which I wouldn't begrudge him.
On a more serious note, it will be interesting to see how Chelsea handle the new rules regarding interactions with referees. I hope the PL sets a tone and gives the first asshat to wave an imaginary card this season a straight red.
If it is, I've rarely seen it enforced. Like I said, a nice straight red to the first player who does it would set a nice precedent. I'm anxious to see just how much the refs still let players get away with in this regard. Not just imaginary cards, but crowding the referee and the great English tradition of telling him to "fuck off" after every foul he calls against you. I hope the last bit is still allowed.
