I was kind of hoping that next weekends Leicester visit to Old Trafford and Spurs visit to the bridge would matter. Too bad.
No. A Tottenham move would consist of being in Leicester's position and blowing it. Spurs made quite a good account of themselves this season.
Can't believe Harry Kane was subbed off at halftime. 2 fairy tale seasons... 1 had to end eventually.
If Leicester were not having as good a year as they are having, Tottenham would be leading the league
Touche'. This is my first year really following and I figured Tottenham had more of a Red Sox vibe. Sounds like they're more like the Philadelphia Eagles though. Either way, future seems bright for you guys.
I'm fine, the title was a long shot anyway. We didn't deserve more than a point after that 2nd half. West Brom turn up against the good teams. They've earned draws at a lot of tough grounds this season, Anfield being one.
it should be a pretty good run for spurs under pochettino, as long as the young core stays together and we add some quality depth. the fear i have is bottling the rest of the 3 matches and finishing 4th, and perpetuating our own stereotype.
So long as it isn't 5th. In all honesty with arsenal and city still having to play 3rd is the absolute worst we will manage.
I'd still be happy as hell if I were him. Gets a shit load of money and the sport's dream of a lifetime. So he didn't maximize his winnings, so be it.
Hindsight is 20/20. A lot 'could' have happened this weekend (hell, it could have still been a lot different if Tottenham won like they were supposed to today.) If we were all so smart we would have taken Leicester City to start the year, but that is the thing with betting (and sports) you just never know. And never knowing and risking a lot of money isn't always the best strategy.
