Will Tottenham ever get this close again? It was almost as much of a fairy tale story as Leicester winning the title.
Things that have happened since Eden Hazard has scored a goal in the Premiere League: Chelsea and Tottenham drew 2-2 and Leicester City won the league. LMBO.
We're not planning on following Liverpools plan of selling our best player after finally getting back to the champions league. So I look forward to reading your continued butthurt next year.
No I'm not upset at all, actually very happy with our season. Excited for next year to watch the youngest roster in the league continue to get better under one the best managers in England.
I agree. You should be happy with the season. Ill stop being cunty. I blame Ace though. I will be shocked if you guys are as lucky as you were this year with injuries. Plays such a big part in a season.
I mean if Kane ever went down for a long period of time they would be screwed. Signing another quality striker has gotta be priority #1, right Jews?
They had a Vertonghen injury, Wilmer or whatever his name is filled in really well though. Pretty much everyone else played the whole season. Good luck being under the media and officials spotlight now, I'm sure they'll handle it well like they did today.
the significant one was vertonghen. wimmer stepped in and was, in my opinion, better. there is decent squad depth, and we were definitely lucky that kane never got injured from what i can remember. that's definitely priority #1. after that it would be finding depth for dembele and dier.
depends on if the players mature, being the youngest squad. if not, then i doubt there is a ton of progression from this season. if they mature and get some composure, it'll be really fun to watch for a long time hopefully.
It's not like Suarez would have been available to help them in the group stage anyways. They would have been idiots not to sell him and all parties were incredibly fortunate he was allowed to leave when he did.
Think my favorite part is Clattenburg's stern talk at the beginning to the players to get them to calm down. That really worked. That and Dier not being sent off.

I wonder if the atmosphere and overall incredible feel at Stamford bridge last night makes the premier league look into more night games. You have the Monday night and they are adding the Friday night but always found it bizarre they didn't have a Saturday or Sunday night. I know the Brits are slow to evolve to change but my favorite games at Stanford bridge are all night games. I attended a midweek night FA or league cup game against Birmingham and the place was buzzing. Was reading an article on the champions league the other day stating that UEFA needs to make the knockout round games a double header instead of playing at the same time. Group stage games are different because knowing the outcome of another can change things but the knockout rounds should be a double header.
The odds of everyone surviving a weekend night game in England are worse than the pre-season odds of Leicester winning the title.
It really was neck and neck, could be rotated in at some point. Leaning at the bar Arsene was a pretty distant 3rd.
That game was set up pretty ideally to destroy them, even the emirates would have accomplished that. Dumbass Spurs' fans chanting we're going on a European tour was obviously not gonna end well for them.
As one of the more zen members of our Tottenham contingent. I think on the whole this has been a very good campaign. While Monday was regrettable the real issue was a start to the season that was sputtering at best. It wasn't like Spurs were the front runners at any point of this season, they just managed to keep up while others faulted. I think on its own merits a 2-2 draw at the Bridge is a perfectly cromulent result 99 percent of the time but obviously with everything else feels like a loss. I really felt like the whole season was going to be lost when Jan took an elbow to the dome and tore up his knee for two months, but this team surprised me. They've played this season with a mix of edge and youthful verve so I don't really think what happened at the Bridge is really that surprising given the age and experience of the team. The ending was lamentable but even I really wanted to see that malodorous cunt Cesc laying on the floor broken in two pieces. I hold no grudge against any poster, except the Liverpool contingent. You root for an aging edifice of a primitive era of English Soccer defined by hooliganism and buggery. I hope you cunts are playing in the Blue Square Go Fuck Yourself conference by 2025. Ocho, congrats on the win on the last game of the season to keep the magpies up. One love.
Was reading this and was thinking something along the lines of, "you know, this guy really has the right attit...wait just a damn minute. Fuck you, guy!"
